The Columbia Claim Jumper volleyball team lost to Central Valley Conference foe the Fresno City Rams 3-0 (26-28, 23-25, 22-25) on Friday at Oak Pavilion.
Kameryn Perkins led the Claim Jumpers with five kills and Lauren Lane smashed four.
Miranda Storee posted a team-high two blocks, and Rachel Richter, Taylor Smahlik and Bryanna Carter all had one. Sam Darrin pitched in seven assists and Sammie Artiaga had five digs.
“Columbia played very well tonight, especially in the first set,” said Claim Jumper head coach Jennifer Ousterhout. “We were strategic with where we placed the ball and had excellent defense. This is the best Columbia has played against Fresno in years. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for this season.”
Columbia’s overall record is now 6-6 and will next face Porterville on the road. The Claim Jumper’s next home game is Friday at 5 p.m.
