THE ANNUAL Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce Tournament is set for Friday, June 20, at Mountain Springs.
The four-player scramble event has a shotgun start set for 1 p.m. and has an per-person entry fee of $95, which covers golf, tee prizes, carts and dinner. Special attractions are a $10,000 hole-in-one prize, and contests for longest drive and closest to the pin for both men and women.
Entry forms are available at the chamber office, 222 South Shepherd St., Sonora, online at www.tcchamber.com, or by calling the chamber at 532-4212.
The last day to enter is Monday.
CLUB PROFESSIONAL Larry Babica from Sequoia Woods of Arnold made it to the third round of the Northern California PGA Senior Match-Play Championship at Canyon Lakes in San Ramon.
Babica was knocked out at that point, equivalent to the quarterfinals, in a 1-up match by eventual runner-up Jeff Piserchio from Blackberry Farm of of Cupertino. Al Krueger from Round Hill of Alamo beat Piserchio 1-up for the title.
Phil Arrino from Meadowmont of Arnold and Chris Bitticks from Saddle Creek of Copperopolis also competed.
