Cats softball team falls to Kimball |
The Sonora Wildcats softball team suffered a 9-5 home loss to Kimball (7-2) on Tuesday. The score was tied at 0-0 until Kimball erupted for seven third-inning runs. Sonora was able to cut the gap to 7-4 after four innings, but could get no closer the rest of the way. Wildcat captain Kelli Keefe went 3-for-4 at the plate as did teammate Elise Amend. Also for Sonora, Jenna Kirk went 3-for-4 which included an out-of-the-park home run, and Izzy Spaan went 1-for-3 and had an RBI. Teammate Mahalia Ford also blasted one over the wall for a homer. The Cats dropped to 2-7 in Valley Oak League play. |
