The Sonora High School girls' tennis team rebounded from its first Valley Oak League loss to beat Manteca 11.5-3.5 at the Sonora courts on Tuesday.

No. 1 singles player Ari Nesper, No. 2 singles player Josee Bowser and the No. 1 doubles team of Liz Jager and Gina Peters went undefeated in eight matches for the Wildcats (6-2 overall, 4-1 VOL).

"Ari Nesper played strong tennis … Gina Peters and Liz Jager continue to improve as a doubles team," Sonora co-coach Dave Fairfield said.

The Cats travel to Oakdale to take on the Mustangs on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
