Sonora won its 18th straight championship in the Tuolumne County Elementary Schools Track Meet, held at Sonora High School's Dunlavy Field.
The Bobcats scored 684 points to 353 for Tenaya, which took the ADA Trophy based on points and enrollment.
Two Sonorans, fifth-grader Kyle Vasher and seventh-grader Jordan Kopf, were among 10 honored as the meet's outstanding athletes. The others were fifth-grader Amber Sweat, sixth-grader Jake Henry, and eighth-grader Spencer Castro of Tenaya; sixth-grader Hannah Noonan and seventh-graders Amy McGrady and Raymond Hawthorne of Summerville, and eighth-graders Heather Perez of Curtis Creek and John Clancy of Columbia.
