ALL-STAR HIGH SCHOOL HOOPS AT COLUMBIA

The Columbia College basketball program's "March Madness in the Mother Lode All-Star Game" will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday at Oak Pavilion.

The game will feature an East squad consisting of high school seniors from Sonora, Summerville, Mother Lode Christian, Bret Harte and Calaveras playing against a West squad from Oakdale, Riverbank, Escalon and Ripon Christian.

Columbia head coach Andy Vasher will coach one team and assistant coach Rich Murphy will head up the other.

Following the game, there will be a dunk contest and a 3-point shooting contest.

Tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for students.

East — Tom McDonnell (Sonora), Rob Hoyt (Sonora), Travis Hendrix (Sonora), Aaron Jolley (Sonora), Joe Sanders (Summerville), Quint Gerber (Summerville), Corey Henson (Mother Lode Christian), Steve Baldwin (Mother Lode Christian), Aaron Elevi (Bret Harte), Scott Russell (Bret Harte), Brandon Rodgers (Calaveras).

West — Josh Kitchen (Oakdale), Ryan Stevenson (Oakdale), James Reese (Oakdale), Sebastien Taulbee (Oakdale), Cesar Rojas (Riverbank), Tizoc Chavez (Riverbank), Marty Tlascala (Riverbank), Mike Saunders (Escalon), Todd Olson (Escalon), Tyler Airola (Escalon), Adam Nieweg (Ripon Christian).
