A very unusual event was noted for this report with four bowlers from the same league rolling the high game — a 268.
The feat was was accomplished in the Jokers Wild league by Steve Feola, Tony Bucci, Ray Leslie and Anthony Chastain.
The only 700 series for this report was Robert Porovich (Monday Nevada) as he rolled 730.
Jeannie Philbin rolled the top series for women with a 554, but shared the high-game honors with Fallon Chastain (High Rollers) — both recorded a 212.
For the youths, Mo Ford outdid herself by rolling a 190 game coupled with a 468 series. Jarrett Walker led the boys with a 213 game and Kyle Myers had the high series for boys with a 561. Kyle Smith was 54/106 pins over his average with a 184/496.
In the “I can’t believe that I beat myself,” category this week, we find in: High Rollers — Dan James 81 over with 267, Fallon Chastain 76 over with 212, Joe Ronning 144 over withy 594; Morning Rollers — George Johnson 79 over with 227; Young at Heart — Don Kasso 76 over with 252; Jokers Wild — Tony Bucci 118/170 over with 268/620, Mike Wright 82 over with 255, Ray Leslie 81 over with 268; Senior Merrymakers — Tom Starrett 75 over with 254; and Mixed Angels — Mark Burr 99 over with 267.

Information has been received about the Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) fundraiser and state tournament. This fundraiser is being held in various areas of the state. The annual state roll-off will be held in Mission Hills on Mar. 31.
I also learned the annual California State Seniors Tournament being held in Bakersfield this year will be held in Modesto in 2012 and advance entries are available at the center. The entering age has been lowered to 50.
Trivia answer: Dallas Lattin — age 4 — of Gold Country Youth/Adult league.
