TUD Board Stacked Against Ratepayers
To the Editor:
I was deeply disappointed in board members Balen, Behee and Rotelli as their choice for the replacement board member appeared to be decided prior to any of the 11 other candidates were truly considered. It was a real waste of time to the other highly qualified and diversified candidates. Balen, Behee and Rotelli did not ask any questions and without any discussion, Mr. Rotelli immediately nominated Mr. Ringen. Ms. Balen seconded.
I appreciate and thank Mr. Ringen for his volunteerism, but we truly need passionate advocates for the ratepayers and that passion was not communicated by Mr. Ringen. I wholeheartedly support and thank Dr. Retherford for his lone voice of reason and fiscal sanity. I second his choice of Mr. Sarno. He showed true passion, conviction and has vital experience. I hope Mr. Ringen will consider the ratepayers in making any decision in raising rates as he will not get my vote if he does.
As for Balen, Behee, Rotelli and GM Kampa, they are not working for the ratepayer but more for the TUD employee. It is time to recall Balen, Behee, and Rotelli and replace Kampa.
