To the Editor:
I am writing to urge people to sign the petition to put Tuolumne County school unification on the ballot. Give the voters a chance to express their preference.
In unification, the children are the beneficiaries of the assets for educational needs opportunities for art and music, vocational training, counseling and special needs services shared by each school. When you hear objections to unification — follow the money trail.
We are originally from the city of Salinas, California. With a population that reaches far beyond our whole county, their multiple schools are all united. My sister just retired from the office of one of those schools and she says unification works. A call to the district office makes equipment, services and personnel available for special events for temporary substitution needs.
Please sign the petition.
