To the editor,
I have two daughters, one who was in the after school program with Brennan Pendley as an aide, and one that is still at Columbia school. They were there when this 2010 incident supposedly happened, too. I am furious that us parents were never told what was going on in either event until after the newspaper wrote about it. Parents were never given the opportunity to ask their kids if anything happened to them. This most recent letter home to parents is ridiculous and two years too late.
It seems like the school shops for aides on Megan’s Law.
My daughter got a detention once for the school’s no-touching policy when she hugged a boy in her grade. Shouldn’t the policy apply to adults too?
School is supposed to be a safe place for our children, but Columbia school seems to be more concerned with covering up for predators.
I also feel it was very convenient the school board had a member related to the district attorney and charges weren’t filed. Why is this board supported by so many parents? How many more kids are going to be molested at school before the teachers and parents wake up and do something?
