Farm Day success thanks to students
I would just like to thank the Summerville High School Ag Department for the fantastic job they did for the area kindergarteners during their Farm Day.
I was a parent chaperone during the trip, but as an educator by profession, I was extremely impressed by the knowledge each of the high school students had to offer. The students answered every question the kinders threw their way in a courteous manner and in a way the 5 and 6 year olds could easily process.
The program, although obviously overseen by ag teachers, was entirely done by the high school students. They were able to keep the small students engaged and excited.
The one thing I would like to praise all of the high school students for is their kind, courteous and polite manners towards the hundreds of kids eager to learn.
Thank you to the Summerville High staff for mentoring these students and teaching them so much more than just the educational material.
I could tell that the high school students really enjoyed being a part of the Ag Department which is a direct result of the amazing teachers they look up to. I look forward to the next Farm Day with my other children.
Thank you so much for making it a wonderful experience for all.
