Giuseppe Ricapito (Crime & Courts Reporter)

Giuseppe Ricapito was born in Irvine, California and attended the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he double majored in History and English. While in college Giuseppe worked for the weekly campus newspaper The Bottom Line as the Isla Vista Beat Reporter, covering events such as the 2014 Deltopia student riot and the May 2014 campus mass shooting. Following graduation, Giuseppe worked for two years as an editor's associate at Entrepreneur Magazine for their annual Franchise 500 Ranking project. During the same time, Giuseppe also taught History and English at a private school for students with learning and disciplinary issues. Giuseppe has worked at the Union Democrat as the Police and Courts Reporter since August, 2016. He additionally covers topics ranging from education, features and weather. In his free time, Giuseppe enjoys music, reading, adventure, and exploring new places. He also hosts a weekly live radio show on KAAD-LP 103.5 FM Sonora entitled "Night Time is the Right Time."
