Patricia Ann Conner

Sonora resident Patricia “Patsy” Ann Conner died Thursday at her home. She was 56.
Born in Oceanside to Guadalupe and Alcantar Sanchez, she earned a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Humphries College in Sacramento in 1999.
She was an eligibility worker for Tuolumne County for about 11 years.
She lived in Sonora for 31 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and grand-nieces and nephews, and also reading, sewing and cooking for her family. She also enjoyed going to the movies, shopping and dining with her close friends.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Adam and Kari Conner, of Warsaw, Ind., and Marshall and Tara Conner, of Chico; grandchildren, Alex, Max and Matthew Conner, all of Warsaw; step-grandchildren, Jeffery Brown, of Warsaw, and Jackson Leonard, of Sacramento; and siblings, Joseph L. and George A. Sanchez, both of Oceanside, and Cecelia and Guy Arthurholt, of Sonora.
A celebration of life is scheduled for a later date.

Richard Leroy Kovacs
May 31, 1955 — Sept. 18, 2011
Copperopolis resident Richard Leroy Kovacs died Sept. 18 in Clements. He was 56.
Born in Castro Valley to Walter Leroy and Barbara Jean Kovacs, he worked for the Los Altos Garbage Company and Recology for 34 years.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, camping and working on his property. He especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Jordan.
Mr. Kovacs is survived by his ex-wife, Terri Kakarigi, of Manteca; children and their spouses, Todd and Adena Kovacs, of Copperopolis, Timothy and Michelle Kovacs, Kevin and Jennie Kovacs, and Kristopher Kovacs, all of Manteca; grandchildren, Brody Kovacs, of Copperopolis, and Brett, Kodi, Austin and Madisyn Kovacs, all of Manteca; sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Brian Cardiff, of Brentwood; a niece, nephew and numerous cousins and friends.
A service has already been held. He was buried at Parkview Cemetery in Manteca.

Jordan Lynn Kovacs
Aug. 16, 1997 — Sept. 18, 2011
Copperopolis resident Jordan Lynn Kovacs died Sept. 18 in Clements. She was 14.
Born in Stockton to Todd and Adena Kovacs, she was a student at Mark Twain Elementary School and a member of the 4-H Club.
She enjoyed riding and caring for her horses, Victor and Dixie, competing in horse shows, camping, fishing and spending time with her family and friends.
She loved animals and wanted to be a veterinary technician.
She is survived by her parents, Todd and Adena Kovacs, of Copperopolis; brother, Brody Kovacs, of Copperopolis; grandparents, Terri and Nick Kakarigi, of Manteca, and James and Vicki Hale, of Lodi; great-grandmother, Maxine Hughes, of Stockton; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A service has already been held. She was buried at Parkview Cemetery in Manteca.

MARINOVICH — Phyllis Marinovich, age unknown, of Sonora, died Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
