Sonora resident Nancy Bousquet died Aug. 26 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 65.
Ms. Bousquet was born in San Francisco to Roger and Vivian Bousquet.
She settled in Sonora 28 years ago.
She enjoyed collecting antiques.
Mrs. Bousquet was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Seth Bousquet, of Sonora; sister, Suzette Stephenson, of Brentwood; and grandchildren, Hannah and Cole Bousquet, both of Sonora.
No service is planned.

Lydia Durail (Whitlock) Clifton
Feb. 2, 1922 — Aug. 31, 2013
Sonora resident Lydia Durail (Whitlock) Clifton died Aug. 31 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 91.
Mrs. Clifton was born in Russellville, Ala., the daughter of Fernando and Fanny Whitlock.
She worked as a telephone operator and grocery store clerk in Greenfield, where she spent most of her life before settling in Sonora five years ago.
Mrs. Clifton was a member of the Greenfield Baptist Church, the Grange, Order of the Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society and Silver Kings and Queens, a group with which she traveled the world.
Mrs. Clifton was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Clifton, in 2005; one sister; and five brothers.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Tommy R. Clifton, and life partner, Julie Gamin, of Texas, Jimmy A. and Jane Clifton, of Sonora, and David C. and Dianne Clifton, of Twain Harte; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
A private interment was held at the King City Cemetery.

Barbara Jean (Timleck) Eckman

Pine Mountain Lake resident Barbara Jean (Timleck) Eckman died Sept. 7 at her home. She was 82.
Mrs. Eckman was born in San Francisco to Earl and Christine Timleck.
She met her future husband, Richard Eckman, while in high school. They married in 1951.
She graduated from Lux University in 1953 and made a career as a dental assistant while raising three children.
She settled in Pine Mountain Lake 25 years ago.
Mrs. Eckman enjoyed golf, bridge, water sports and the outdoors.
Mrs. Eckman was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Eckman, of Pine Mountain Lake; her children and their spouses, Gayle Jones, of Alamo, Gary and Pat Eckman, of Genoa, Nev., and Scott and Denise Eckman, of Danville; her grandchildren and their spouses, Matthew and Sarah Jones, of Martinez, Chris and Liz Parady, of Concord, Katy Eckman, of Reno, Nev., and Amy Jones, of Southern California; and two great-grandsons.
A private family service will be held.

Laurel Ann Edwards Gonzales

Sonora resident Laurel Ann Edwards Gonzales died Aug. 25 at her home. She was 62.
Mrs. Gonzales was born in Tampa, Fla., to Elizabeth (Ruth) and Burke Edwards.
She grew up in Florida, the Dominican Republic, and the Bay Area, where she graduated from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco in 1968. She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Central Florida in 1989 and a master’s degree from Grand Canyon University in 2001.
She married Manny Gonzales in 1971, and they lived together in San Anselmo before relocating to Merritt Island, Fla., in 1980. They settled in Sonora in 1990.
She was an elementary school teacher in Oakdale for 17 years, teaching third-grade at Fair Oaks Elementary and Sierra View Elementary until she retired in 2013. She was an advocate for early childhood education.
Mrs. Gonzales enjoyed music and attending concerts. She also enjoyed traveling, reading, hiking, gardening and entertaining with her husband as part of a local gourmet food club.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Manny Gonzales, of Sonora; her mother Elizabeth Edwards, of Sonora; her mother-in-law, Doris Gonzales, of Redding; her children, Roth Gonzales, of Seattle, Wash., and Lane Gonzales, of Santa Cruz; her daughter-in-law, Jenifer Gonzales, of Seattle.; two grandsons, Rowan and Milo Gonzales, of Seattle.; sister, Linda Delacruz, of Rochester, N.Y.; and her brother, T. Burke Edwards, of Napa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Head Start Association, or to the Sierra View Scholarship Fund for Oakdale High School graduates, OJUSD, 168 S. Third Ave., Oakdale, CA 95361.
Celebration of life events will be held at later dates.
