Fredrick Peter Becker

Fredrick Peter Becker died of pneumonia Nov. 13 at his home in Big Oak Flat. He was 44.
Mr. Becker was born in San Jose to Donald and Virginia Becker.
He graduated from the Sequoia Institute in Fremont, now part of the WyoTech school system.
He worked as a mechanic until retirement, winning two trophies for sound pressure level at the U.S. Autosound Competition International in Woodland.
He collected rosaries and his family described him as spiritual.
He enjoyed motorcycles and animals.
Mr. Becker was preceded in death by his father, Donald Becker, in 1991.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Shari Becker, of Big Oak Flat; his mother, Virginia Becker, of Big Oak Flat; and his sisters, Rebecca Beecher, of Big Oak Flat; and Margarett Rivas, of Boulder Creek.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Big Oak Restaurant and Lounge, 17829 Highway 120, Big Oak Flat.

David Stillman Segale
July 9, 1949 — Nov. 20, 2012
Angels Camp and Sacramento resident David Stillman Segale died Tuesday at home after a 14-year battle with cancer. He was 63.
Mr. Segale was born July 9, 1949, in Sonora to Floyd and Elaine Segale and raised in Angels Camp.
He attended Mark Twain Elementary School and graduated from Bret Harte High School in 1967.
After graduating from San Joaquin Delta College, he began a 40-year career in the automotive business included working for Kelley Motors in Sonora, Lou Peters Pontiac in Lodi and Mel Rapton Honda in Sacramento as a business manager.
He lived in Sacramento for 35 years before recently returning to Angels Camp.
He was a member of the Figli d’Italia Club in Sonora.
He enjoyed spending time at his mountain home in Truckee, attending Sacramento Kings basketball games and playing slot machines at Lake Tahoe and local casinos.
Mr. Segale is survived by his siblings and their spouses, Michael and Joelene Segale, of Angels Camp, Raelyn and Erle Winkler, of San Andreas, and Carolee and Ed Kane, of Angels Camp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donations in his memory can be made to Hospice of the Sierra, 20100 Cedar Road North, Sonora, CA 95370, or a charity of choice.
Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Angels Camp, 820 S. Main St.
Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Murphys.
Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
