Carmen ‘Carrie’ (Pinedo) Carrillo
Sept. 30, 1932 — March 4, 2013
Jamestown resident Carmen “Carrie” (Pinedo) Carrillo died March 4 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. She was 80.
Mrs. Carrillo was born in Fresno.
She moved to Sonora with her family in 1956 for her husband’s work.
Mrs. Carrillo worked most recently as a cafeteria worker at Sonora High School.
She enjoyed gardening, crafts and interior decorating.
She was a Catholic.
Mrs. Carrillo was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Glenn Carrillo Sr.; and son, Ted Carrillo.
She is survived by her children, Glenn Carrillo Jr., Larry Carrillo and Ben Carrillo, all of Sonora; grandchildren, Sarah, Clay, Tony, Janet, Carrie, Bob, Ted, and Dennis Carrillo, all of Sonora; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A memorial vigil was held. A funeral Mass was to be celebrated today at noon at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St., Sonora. She will be buried at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sonora.

Ethel Ada (Lamberton) Lowitt
Aug. 27, 1926 — April 26, 2013
Sonora resident Ethel Ada (Lamberton) Lowitt died April 26 at Avalon Care Center. She was 86.
Mrs. Lowitt was born in Queens, N.Y., to Ada Ethel Lamberton and James K. Lamberton.
She was a homemaker and lived in Inglewood and then Paso Robles.
She moved to Sonora 10 years ago to be with family.
Mrs. Lowitt was a decorated member of the Westchester Elks Lodge 2050 and Paso Robles Elks Lodge 2364.
She enjoyed traveling and making beaded earrings.
Mrs. Lowitt was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lowitt, in 2001; and two ex-husbands, George Muller Sr., and Miles Monaco; and brothers, Herbert and William Lamberton.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Larry and Ricki Monaco, of Lebanon, Pa., Joyce and Vinnie Pizzo, of North Las Vegas, Nev., Janet Muller, of Columbia, George Jr. and Kathy Muller, of Freeville, N.Y.; stepdaughter, Kathy and stepson-in-law, Preston Miller, of Fremont; grandchildren, Eddie Brown Jr., of Mastic Beach, N.Y., Anthony Pizzo, of Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y., Kenny Monaco, of Coatesville, Pa., Aaron Monaco, of Elizabethtown, Pa., Jessica Powell, of Columbia, Lauretta Carr, of Sonora, and Crystal Powell, of Columbia; and brother, James Lamberton, of Seaford, Del.; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held. Burial was at Paso Robles District Cemetery in Paso Robles.

Dale Ellis Sicore
Feb. 8, 1953 — April 27, 2013
Angels Camp resident Dale Ellis Sicore died April 27 at Mark Twain Medical Center. He was 60.
Mr. Sicore was born in Riverside to David and Doris Sicore.
He worked as a custom carpet installer throughout California, Oregon, Arizona, Florida and New York.
Mr. Sicore moved to Angels Camp eight years ago. He enjoyed woodworking and making custom furniture.
Mr. Sicore was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Sicore; his parents; and siblings, Howard, Eugene and Roger Sicore.
He is survived by his companion, Devon Tracy, of Angels Camp; children, David Sicore, of Florida, Nicole Rio and son-in-law, Damien Rio, of Chino Valley, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and sister, Robin Hilminoski, of Angels Camp.
Private services will be held.

Tuolumne resident Vincent Warren “Vinny” Veysey died of a sudden medical emergency April 26 at the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road North. He was 26.
Mr. Veysey was born in Sonora to Vaylen and Kimberly Veysey.
He attended Curtis Creek Elementary School and Sonora High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army at 18.
Mr. Veysey worked at Black Oak Casino as a hotel night auditor, cafe host, porter and custodian.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, shooting, travelling, Renaissance fairs and anything to do with vehicles.
Mr. Veysey was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Edward Joseph Kosik and Virgil Wayne Veysey.
He is survived by his wife of two years, Brianna (Glenn) Veysey, of Tuolumne; parents and stepparents, Vaylen and Debbie Veysey, of Sonora, and Kimberly and Chris Pia, of Sonora; siblings, Kristen Pia, of Sonora, and Travis Veysey, of Twain Harte; and grandparents, Lana Delaine Kosik, of Sonora, and Janice L. and Ray D. Thuemler, of Orick; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Tuolumne Veterans Memorial Hall, 18375 Fir Ave., in Tuolumne.
