Alberta Lorraine ‘Lucy’ Comer

Former Columbia resident Alberta Lorraine Comer died April 22 at her residence in Apache Junction, Ariz. She was 71.
She was born in Whittier, the daughter of Kenneth and Alberta Turner.
She lived in Columbia for many years before moving to Arizona in November 2007.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband on logging jobs, knitting, crocheting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her parents in 1976; and her husband, Doug Comer, in 2000.
Mrs. Comer is survived by her children, Karen Wilson, of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga., and Susan Carajan, of Sonora; her stepchildren, Charlene Horsley, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Cherri Martinelli, of Fallon, Nev., Douglas Comer, of Columbia, and Christian Comer Goldson, of Columbia; 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchild; and siblings, Richard Turner, of Huntington Beach in Orange County, Wallace Turner, of Apache Junction, and Carolyn Muirhead, of Apache Junction.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to Ronald McDonald House, 1 Kroc Drive, Oak Brook, Ill., 60523.
REGO — Dianna Louise Rego, 59, of Tuolumne, died Thursday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
