He will be remembered for his unquestioning generosity, willingness to help and mischievous, fun-loving ways, his family said.

Mr. Hodgson is survived by his wife, Dorothy Hodgson of Sonora; two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Sid Gordon of Sonora and Valerie and Mike Martin of Soulsbyville; three granddaughters, Rachael Ramos, and her husband, Jose, of Redwood City, Audrey Kavanaugh, and her husband, Matt, of Port Hueneme, Ventura County, and Candace Gordon of Sonora; three grandsons, Dayn Martin, and wife, Trinka, of Arcata, and Chad and Brett Gordon, both of Sonora; two great-grandchildren, Justice Ramos and Avrey Kavanaugh; a sister, Janice Beardsley of Winnemuka, Nev.; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
