Glen Bannister

April 14, 1962 — May 1, 2013

Sierra Village resident Glen Bannister died May 1 at his home. He was 51. 

Mr. Bannister was born in Suffolk, England, to Donald Bannister and Jill Crumpler.

His family moved to the United States because of his father’s military career.

Mr. Bannister lived in Contra Costa County for a number of years before settling in Sierra Village nine years ago.

He worked as a grocery clerk at Twain Harte Market for five years. 

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Mr. Bannister is survived by his wife, Colleen Bannister, of Sierra Village; his parents, Donald Bannister, and Jill and Hollis Crumpler, of White Deer, Texas; brothers, David Hauff, of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jason Crumpler; and sisters, Ashley Smith, of Hobbs, N.M., Tammy Hauff, of New Mexico, Sandra Bellingham, and Tiffany Crumpler, of White Deer.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Chapel, 19889 Soulsbyville Road, Soulsbyville. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to Rose Wolf Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation, P.O. Box 1989, Twain Harte, CA 95383. 

Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. 

Jason Richard Earl

Nov. 22, 1975 — May 4, 2013

West Point resident Jason Richard Earl died of an unknown cause May 4 at his home. He was 37. 

Mr. Earl was born in Stockton to Norelyn Asman-Williams and Johnny Earl. 

He worked as an equipment operator for Caltrans for eight years. 

Mr. Earl was a Christian and enjoyed raising hounds, hunting, fishing and tending to horses and cattle.

Mr. Earl was preceded in death by his grandfather, Warren Asman; and uncle, Philip Ricketts.

He is survived by his children, Anastasia, Jason Jr., Colton, and Delilah Earl, all of West Point; his parents, Norelyn Asman-Williams and stepfather Douglas Williams, of Rail Road Flat, and Johnny Earl, of Stockton; siblings, John Earl, of West Point, Joe Earl, of Rail Road Flat, Justin Earl, of Stockton, and Jenna Earl, of Rail Road Flat; an ex-wife, Sherrie Earl, of West Point; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Visitation will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. May 24 at San Andreas Memorial Chapel, 254 W. St. Charles St. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. May 25 at Laughton Ranch, 90 Clinton Road, Jackson. He will be interred at Sunset Cemetery in Jackson. 

San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. 

Vivian Lillian (Dowler) Woodworth

May 6, 1924 — May 9, 2013

Soulsbyville resident Vivian (Dowler) Woodworth died May 9 at Oak Terrace Memory Care in Soulsbyville. She was 89. 

Mrs. Woodworth was born in Los Angeles to Evelyn and Earl Dowler.  

She worked as a component assembler for North American Rockwell in Downey for 35 years. She moved to Soulsbyville five years ago to be with family.

Mrs. Woodworth enjoyed reading, gardening, playing games and visiting Lake Tahoe and Las Vegas. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Alexander Woodworth; and brother, Robert Dowler. 

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert And Diane Woodworth, of Soulsbyville; daughter, Judy Gladden, of Mountain Home, Ark.; and grandchildren, Cherri Chaffin, of Mountain Home, Terri Latino, of Bishop, Tony Latino, of Bishop, Dina Montoya, of Murieta, Bobby Woodworth, of Soulsbyville, Scott Woodworth, of Four Oaks, N.C.; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. 

No services are planned. 

Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.


DIVINS — Dennis Divins, 69, of Arnold, died Tuesday at Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
