Florence Shaw of Soulsbyville died Tuesday at her home. She was 86.
She was born in Liverpool, England, and had lived in Soulsbyville for five years.
Her family said she loved dancing.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Maurice Shaw of Soulsbyville; a son, Graham Shaw of Orem, Utah; a daughter, Pamela Renfro of Pleasanton, Alameda County; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Private family services are scheduled.

Jolisa Jewel Price of Sonora died of a brain tumor Monday at a Madera hospital. She was 12.
She was born in Salinas and had lived in Sonora for two years. Her family also knew her as "Jo," "Pixie," and "J.J." She att-ended Columbia Elementary School.
She had a light, whimsical, free spirit, her family said, and she wanted to become a surgical nurse when she grew up.
She is survived by her mother, Cyndi Wise Price of Sonora; her father, Joseph Price III of Sonora; sisters, Crystal Wise and Jasmine Price, both of Sonora, and Jacqueline Price of Salinas; brothers, Joseph Price IV of Sonora and Jovon and Jerald Price, both of Salinas; maternal grandparents, Janice Wise and Mel Tschaekofske, both of Sonora; paternal grandfather, Albert Lee of Texas; great-grandmothers, Verla Kyle of Salinas and Ora Ankenman of Sonora; uncles, Keith Wise and Do-nald, both of Salinas, Kevin Wise of Sonora and Mike Lee Price of Texas; aunts, Lisa Wise of Salinas, Michelle Urban of Sonora and Brenda Lee of Texas; and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins including Shalene Wise of Jamestown and Katelyn Lacy Wise of Salinas.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Lorene Lee.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mountain Shadow Cemetery.

Fred R. Bender of Twain Harte died May 1 at a Stanford hospital. He was 78.
He was born and raised in Sanger, Fresno County, and lived there for 60 years before moving to Twain Harte, where he lived for 18 years. He was a retired farmer and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of the Methodist Church in Sanger.
His family said he enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years.
Mr. Bender is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara; sons, Gregory Bender of Merced and Mark Bender of Kings Beach, Placer County; and a granddaughter, Noel Bender of Kings Beach.
No services are scheduled.

Lifelong Calaveras County resident Earl Murton Butler died Monday at his Murphys home. He was 68.
He was born in Altaville and had lived in Altaville and Murphys his entire life. He was a retired union carpenter.
Mr. Butler is survived by his son, Robert Butler of Murphys; daughters, Angie Butler of Riverside, Susan Morrow of Cayucos, San Luis Obispo County, Sherri Dominick of El Centro, Imperial County, and Becky Butler of Angels Camp; a brother, Clifford Butler of Escalon; sisters, Jean and Joan Butler, both of Springfield, Ore., and Noreen Colemen of Oregon; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Mae Butler, in 1996.
A potluck will be held at a later date.
