Milton C. (Milt) Dawson

Milton C. (Milt) Dawson, of Sonora, passed away on March 5, at the age of 87.
He was born in Los Angeles on Dec. 25, 1926. He proudly served his country as a Naval Aviator in the South Pacific during World War II. He earned a J.D. from McGeorge Law School in San Francisco and practiced law for more than 30 years in San Bernardino County.
After retiring, he spent several years in Reno, Nev., with his son, Glenn and family. He returned to California six years ago, and settled in Sonora.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers; and his wife, Judy; as well as close family friends, Juanita and Lester Melzer.
He is survived by his daughter, Dalaine Heagle and her significant other, Mike Davis, of Sonora, son, Glenn E. Dawson and his wife, Kimberly, of Reno; grandchildren, Clint Durocher and wife, Crystal, Glenn A. Dawson, Brittany Dawson and Zachary Miller, of Reno, Justyn Heagle and his significant other, Chelsea, William Davis and his fiancee, Sabrina, and Maryanna Davis, all of Sonora, and Vanessa and husband, Karl Brauer of Lubbock, Texas; and one great-grandchild, Clint J. Durocher, of Reno.
He will be laid to rest at 3 p.m. Friday, March 21, at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 E. Washington St., Colton, CA 92324.
Arrangements are being handled by Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home. Donations, if desired, can be made to a charity of choice.
Linda Ann Glenn
Linda Ann Glenn, 74, long time resident of Copperopolis, passed away at home on Saturday, March 15, 2014.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Elsie Smith; her siblings, Don Smith and Joann Vanden Brink; and her son, Danny Glenn.
She is survived by her husband, Dave Glenn; her children and their spouses, Lori and Steve Langley and Shelly and Todd O’Connor; her grandchildren, Heather and Kirsten Sundling and Taylor O’Connor.
Otherwise known by “Linda Lu” she had many friends that were a part of her extended family and she will be dearly missed by all.
A celebration of life will held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at the family house in Copperopolis (946 Iroquois Circle). There will be a private burial service in San Andreas at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like any donations to be sent to Hospice of Amador and Calaveras, P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642.
Mary M. Huff
Nov. 26, 1923 — March 10, 2014
Resident of San Jose and former resident of Pine Mountain Lake.
Retired from Memorex/Unisys Corporation. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends fishing and camping at New Melones and Don Pedro Lakes, golfing at Pine Mountain Lake and Twain Harte golf courses, dancing, playing bingo and bowling at Sonora Bowl.
She was preceded in death by Harry Huff Sr.
She is survived by children, Frank Tobias, of Toone, Tenn., Peg Geringer, of San Jose, Sandy (Ken) Steele, of Sonora, Chuck (Mary) Huff, of Brentwood, and Harry (Candi) Huff, of Jamestown.
Mary always had a smile on her face and was greatly loved by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, Chapel of the Roses in San Jose.
