Former Tuolumne County resident Donald Matthew “Donnie” Anderson died Feb. 16 at a VA hospital in Portland, Ore. He was 54.
Mr. Anderson attended elementary and high school in Tuolumne County. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Sharon Anderson, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; sons Joel Anderson, of Pleasanton, and Jason Anderson, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his daughter, Jeannie Anderson, of Modesto; five grandchildren; sisters, Carol Ray, of Tuolumne, Lora Walker, of Deriks, Ark.; his brother, Marty Anderson, of Tuolumne; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by parents, Carl R. Anderson and Pearl G. Wann Anderson; and his sister, Arlene Husted.
Cremation and Burial Services of Portland handled arrangements.
James L. Fiscus
April 1, 1937 — March 12, 2012
Lifelong Calaveras County resident James L. Fiscus died March 12 at his home in Angels Camp. He was 74.
Mr. Fiscus was born in Vallecito and grew up there. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and heavy equipment mechanic for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Angels Gun Club and operating engineers union.
Mr. Fiscus is survived by his wife of 56 years, Maryln Fiscus, of Angels Camp; his son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Mariecella Fiscus, of Arnold; his daughter, Terry Truelock, of Angels Camp; sisters, Geraldine Schmid, of Vallecito, Beatrice Hollars, of Vallecito, and Mary Wiebe, of Calaveritas; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in his name to Hospice of the Sierra, 2100 Cedar Road North, Sonora, CA 95370.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Angels Gun Club in Angels Camp.

June 22, 1922 — March 5, 2012
Former Tuolumne County resident Dorothy “Elaine” (Ragsdale) Hutchinson died March 5 at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster. She was 89.
Mrs. Hutchinson was born in Moberly, Mo., and lived in Columbia for many years before moving to Lancaster more than two years ago.
She was a member of the Stockton Order of the Eastern Star and Tuolumne County Aeronautics Club. She was a member of the Columbia Ladies Fire Auxiliary since 1963 and was also a member of Turlock and Sonora fire department auxiliaries, where she enjoyed playing the kazoo.
Mrs. Hutchinson worked for Bell Accounting and Hales and Symons. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks and maps.
Mrs. Hutchinson is survived by her husband of 69 years, Howard Hutchinson, of Lancaster; grandchildren, Kay Goldman, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., Andrea Burson, of Oakdale ,and Valerie Palomo, of Lancaster; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela K. Burson.
A donation can be made in her name to Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary or Columbia Fire Protection District Scholarship Fund.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Columbia Presbyterian Church of the 49ers with a reception to follow and burial at Columbia City Cemetery.

Kathleen (Dillon) Hunter
Dec. 9, 1947 — March 2, 2012
Columbia resident Kathleen (Dillon) Hunter died March 2 at her home. She was 64.
Mrs. Hunter was born in Patterson, N.J., and managed an employment agency for 10 years. She enjoyed breeding Bengal cats and bird watching. She lived in Columbia for 14 years.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband, George Hunter, of Columbia; parents, James and Dorothy Dillon, of Omaha, Ark.; her son, Travis Hunter, of Irvine; her daughter, Cory Ritchie, of Columbia; and two grandchildren.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A donation can be made in her name to the American Cancer Society.
