Theodore James Fuller
Nov. 21, 1970 — Jan. 27, 2014
Ted Fuller lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Jan. 27 in Marin. Born to Ted Fuller and Kathy Meyer, he spent his childhood in Sylmar. Ted moved to Oakdale in 1994, then to Sonora and worked at Inter-Mountain Truss and Dodge Ridge. Ted then moved to the Tahoe area, where he worked at Alpine Meadows, and met his companion of more than 10 years, Karen Schwartz. Ted later moved to Marin County and worked for Sun Iron Workers.
Ted was genuine and lived every moment to the fullest. He loved his Harley, music, skateboards, the outdoors, and was always there for friends and family. Many memories were made hunting and fishing with his cousins, Robert, Ryan, Jon, and his uncle John.
He is survived by his grandfather, William Fuller; his parents; sister Colleen (Damien) Smith; nieces Shawnee and Cheyenne Smith; girlfriend, Taletha Hufford; and her children, Hannah Hufford and Joe Mason. Ted also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who miss him dearly.
Ted’s life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday March 15, at Veterans Memorial Park, Sylmar.

Betty Ann Martinez
August 25, 1924 — March 4, 2014
Betty Ann Hattler Martinez was born to Howard and Helen Hattler on Aug. 25, 1924 in Port Jervis, N.Y. She came to California at age 7 and lived in Napa most of her life.
Betty worked for the Ford dealership in Napa for more than 40 years as a bookkeeper. She loved the outdoors and was a wonderful gardener of flowers and vegetables. She also sewed, crocheted, played piano, sang and loved to read.
Betty married Michael James Khoury during World War II. They had two children, Michelle Ann and Howard Michael Khoury. They divorced in the 1970s.
Betty then married Joseph Martinez. They were married until his death in 1998.
Betty moved to Tuolumne in 2000 to be near her children. Her son, Howard, preceded her in death in 2005.
She is survived by her daughter, Michelle Fulcher; grandchildren, Robert Harris, James Harris, Sharlyn Bracy Laine, Christy Choate Reed and Jeremy Choate; great-grandchildren, Tanya Harris, Justin Harris, Amanda Serene, Kylie McGlothern, Caleb and Abigail Carlson, Ryan and Kyler Reed and Doneven Choate.
Services will be held at 1p.m. on Saturday, March 15, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 19481 Hillsdale Drive, Sonora.

BURNS — Former Tuolumne County resident Kenneth Rodney Burns, 91, died Feb. 19 at the Veterans Care Home of Yountville. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Veterans Home Memorial Chapel in Yountville, which is also handling arrangements.
THIENES — David Thienes, 85, of Sonora, died Friday at Avalon Care Center. No services are planned. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
