Richard Gilcrest, of Twain Harte, died May 26 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 72.
He was born in San Mateo, the son of Cyril Gilcrest and Teresa (Shindler) Gilcrest, of Half Moon Bay. A cabinet maker, he served four years in the U.S. Air Force.
He moved to Twain Harte 12 years ago, where he served on the Twain Harte Golf Course Board of Directors.
He is survived by his wife, Violette Gilcrest, of Twain Harte; children, Debbie Gilcrest, of Nevada City, Nevada County, and Marcia Parker, of Susanville, Lassen County; stepdaughters and their spouses, Tina and Richard Ficker, of Twain Harte, and Wendy and Frank Cuenca, of San Jose; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services to be private.
