Paula Ardell Laudenslager
Mrs. Laudenslager was born in Oakland and had lived in Tuolumne County since 1980. She married Richard Keith Laudenslager in November 1947 in Oakland.
She enjoyed crafts of all kinds including millinery, cake decorating, lace making, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, quilting, and was an expert seamstress.
Mrs. Laudenslager was a porcelain doll artist and China painter and also painted portraits on porcelain. She and her husband owned Paula’s Pals, a porcelain doll supply store in Sonora. They traveled to many doll shows throughout California and shipped doll supplies around the world.
Mrs. Laudenslager enjoyed playing the piano, loved working in her garden and could recite the names of every plant in her yard. Mrs. Laudenslager was mostly a stay-at-home mom and raised three daughters. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.
Mrs. Laudenslager was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Keith Laudenslager, in 2005.
She is survived by daughters, Lynne Celeste Fernandez, Debra Ardell Frost and Terry Lee Roth, all of Sonora; grandchildren, Fred Eugene Vinson IV, of Sacramento, Dana Ardell Campbell, of Concord, Justin Marie Owsley, and Cameron Blake Roth, both of Sonora; and her great-granddaughter, Aranea Lilith Owsley, of Sonora.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 19985 Greenley Road, Sonora.
Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Martin was a Berkeley native and a U.S. Navy veteran who served in World War II and the Korean War. He also retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve. Mr. Martin was a 59 year resident of Lafayette, Contra Costa County, and enjoyed 20 years of mountain living in Twain Harte. He worked for 25 years as an appraiser for the Contra Costa County Assessor’s office. His family described him as a loving husband and father.
Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Tilson Martin.
He is survived by children Hadley Martin, of Concord, and Kevin Martin, of Walnut Creek; and five grandchildren.
A graveside service including military honors was to be held at 11 a.m. today at Lafayette District Cemetery, in Lafayette.

LYNESS — William Lyness, 67, of Sonora, died Friday at a Sonora hospital. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
PULIDO — Maria Pulido, 91, of Jamestown, died Friday at a Sonora hospital. A funeral service was to be held at 2 p.m. today at Heuton Memorial Chapel. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
SILVA — William Joseph Silva, 81, of Columbia, died Friday at his home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
