1949 — 2014
Jeanette was born in 1949 in Bethesda, Md., to David and Jean Nelson. She grew up in the San Diego area before moving to the Bay Area. Jeanette also lived in Sonora for 15 years before moving to Reno, Nev., in 1995. She graduated from Santana High School in San Diego. Later, Jeanette earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Morrison University and a master’s degree in education from the University of Phoenix.
She worked as a middle school art teacher in the Washoe County School District for 11 years at Clayton and Cold Springs middle schools.
Jeanette, affectionately know as “Jemma,” was devoted to her family and was never happier than when she was with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and an accomplished painter and artist.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles.
She is survived by her brothers, Larry (Deb) and Michael (Sandy); her sons, Andrew (Amy) and Timothy (Linnea); her daughter KC (Russ); and five grandchildren, Hannah, Russ, Taylin, Nicholas and Lucas.
Jeanette’s celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 29, at the McKinley Arts and Culture Center, 925 Riverside Drive, Reno, Nev.
Nov. 28, 1964 — June 17, 2014
David Faught, a longtime resident of Twain Harte, passed away at his home on June 17, 2014. He was 49 years old.
David was born in French Camp, Calif., on Nov. 28, 1964. He was a carpenter and residential construction worker for 20 years. David was a member of Chapel in the Pines and he enjoyed fishing, reading, hunting and playing with his kids.
He is survived by his wife, Melissa Faught, of Twain Harte; his children, Travis Faught, of Sonora, Allyson Faught, of Twain Harte, Sara Faught, of Modesto and Isaac Faught, of Modesto; his sisters, Patrisa Williams, of Reno, Nev., Maxine Lutz, of Roxboro, N.C., Laura Faught, of Sparks, Nev., and Gayle Davis, of Jamestown; grandchildren, Rilee Davis, Lillie Faught and Haylie Faught; numerous nieces and nephews, and his pets Trooper and Big Dog.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, Calif. Burial will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park.
