Adele Elsa (Humphrey) Schlenz went home peacefully on July 14, 2014, in Brentwood, Calif. She was 90 years old.
She was a loving wife to Adolph Schlenz (known as Tony), for 62 years, who preceded her in death. Her son, Terry Schlenz, also preceded her in death with ALS.
She is survived by her children, Anthony Schlenz, Suzanne Socher, Thomas Schlenz, Cynthia Schlenz and Timothy Schlenz. She was also a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition, she touched the lives of several foster children. She was greatly loved by a very large family and will be missed by all.
Adele will be sorely missed not only as a mother, but for all the charitable work that she provided over the years. Adele was a very devoted Catholic and active in several parishes throughout her life.
A memorial for Adele Schlenz will be held Saturday, July 26 in Sonora, Calif.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St., Sonora. Reception to follow.

Margaret ‘Marge’ Aletha (Milligan) Freitas

Margaret “Marge” Aletha (Milligan) Freitas passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2014. She was 91 years old.
Marge was born on Aug. 3, 1922, in Fargo, N.D. She was a Weighmaster and a resident of Sonora for nine years. Marge moved to Sonora from Oakdale where she lived for over 30 years, to be closer to her family
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Freitas.
Marge is survived by her three children, Milo D. Menard, Pamela L. Collinsworth and Donna R. Snell; five grandchildren, Korina Blazeby, Milo Menard II, Jennifer Hurtado, Jason Collinsworth and Courtney Snell; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 28, 2014, at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Escalon, Calif.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
