Jean (Sparacino) Scheller, 63, of Sonora died Sunday at a Sonora hospital.
Ms. Scheller was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and lived in Sonora for the past 33 years. She was a homemaker and had been involved with various business endeavors during her life.
Her family said she was devoted to her Christian faith and was a religious counselor and strong believer in prayer and miracles.
Ms. Scheller is survived by a son and a daughter-in-law, Glenn and Margaret Scheller of Auburn; two grandchildren, Melissa and Ian Scheller of Auburn; two brothers; three sisters; and many close friends whom her family said helped her during her recent illness.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday.
Burial will be at Mountain Shadow Cemetery. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Annette Marie Rasor, 31, a native of Sonora, died Dec. 29 in Placerville of complications from an illness.
Ms. Rasor grew up in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, before moving back to Sonora, where she lived for many years. She lived in Placerville at the time of her death.
She graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1989 and was active in 4-H, and participated in the horse activities with horses, Thumbelina, Windy and Theodore.
She was a cheerleader for the football and wrestling teams in high school.
Her family said she had a fun-loving spirit, wonderful laughter, and they said they will miss her hugs because they came from the heart. She enjoyed riding her horse, Malibu, and playing with her dog, Chopper.
She loved music, movies, writing poetry, drawing, laughing, family and friends.
Ms. Rasor is survived by parents, John and Marianne Rasor and stepfather, Al Smith, all of Placerville; four brothers, Michael Caraidinae of Monrovia, Eric Rasor and John Rasor, both of San Clemente. and Richard Diegel of Georgia; a sister, Michele Diegel of Cameron Park; and longtime boyfriend, Michael Krempa of Placerville.
A service will be held at a later date.
Foothill Cremation and Burial Services in Placerville handled arrangements.

Lillian S. Earnshaw, 74, of Murphys died Sunday at a San Jose hospital.
Mrs. Earnshaw was born in Galveston, Texas, and lived in Murphys for the past three years. She had lived in Carson City, Nev., for 29 years before moving to Murphys.
She was a waitress for Heidi's Family Restaurant in Carson City for 27 years.
Mrs. Earnshaw is survived by two sons, John Martin and Scott Martin, both of San Jose; a daughter, Lorraine Montantes of San Jose; a brother, Jack Wilson of Lamarque, Texas; three sisters, Eloise Sloan of Fort Stockton, Texas, Gladys Wilson of Placerville and Marjorie Kupsa of Galveston; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
No service will be held at her request. Inurnment will be at Los Gatos Memorial Park in San Jose. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
Donations may be made to any charity.
LOVE Kari L. Love, who died Saturday, was born July 7, 1968. She is survived by son Jacob Hunter Love. Because incorrect information was submitted, his last name was omitted in an obituary Wednesday.
