Pauline Real
May 12, 1936 — Jan. 11, 2012

    Valley Springs resident Pauline Real died Jan. 11 at her home. She was 75.
    Born in San Francisco, to Paul Tarrant and Eleanor Beardsley, she grew up there and later moved to San Jose where she lived for 40 years. She moved to Valley Springs in 2002.
    She was a retired public accountant.
    Ms. Real is survived by her children, Daniel Real, of Denver, and Justine Real, of Oceanside; and grandchildren, Simone Davies, of Concord, Jordan and Sam Real, and Alex and Meredith Wood, all of Denver.
    A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel.
    San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Christopher Scott Robinson
July 6, 1981 — Jan. 20, 2012

    Lifelong San Andreas resident Christopher Scott Robinson died Friday at his home. He was 30.
    Born in San Andreas to Kay Konopaske and Walter Scott Robinson, he worked in construction for many years. At the time of his death, he was working cleaning up bank-foreclosed homes in Valley Springs.
    Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife, Uta Robinson, of San Andreas; parents, Kay Konopaske, of Turlock, and Walter Scott Robinson, of West Point; children, Anastasia, Deserea, and Amanda Smith, all of San Andreas; and sisters, Teri Robinson, of Arnold, Tiana Gonzales, of Stockton, and Cierra Gonzales, of Turlock.
    A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel, to be followed by a reception at Turner Park in San Andreas.
    San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Audrey Josephine Schone
Sept. 28, 1923 — Jan. 14, 2012

    Former Groveland area resident Audrey Josephine Schone died Jan. 14 at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. She was 88.
    Born on a farm near Tilden, Neb., to Erick and Margaret Johnson, she attended Wheaton College in Illinois.
    She taught in a one-room schoolhouse in Nebraska in the mid- to late-1940s.
    She married C. Erick Schone in 1948 and shortly thereafter, the couple went to Venezuela where they were missionaries for 15 years. Upon returning to the United States, they served as missionaries.
    She enjoyed playing the piano, singing hymns, writing stories and poems, entertaining, cooking, and corresponding with family and friends.
    Mrs. Schone is survived by her children and their spouses, Margaret and Russell Hagen, of Stockton, Rick and Cathy Schone, of Big Oak Flat; sisters, Vivian Leona, and Bernice Kinney, both of Nebraska; and grandchildren, Keith and David Hagen, and Adam and Amber Schone, all of California.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, The Rev. C. Erick Schone; five brothers; and one sisters.
    A remembrance luncheon will be held at noon Saturday at the Evangelical Free Church in Groveland.

Cynthia ‘Cindy’
Marie Kenyon
Jan. 12, 1957 — Jan. 20, 2012

    Sonora resident Cynthia “Cindy” Marie Kenyon died Friday at her home. She was 55.
    Born in Los Angeles to John and Marilyn Baker, she worked as a waitress in Southern California where she raised her daughter.
    She lived in the Sonora area for 16 years.
    She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post 3154, where she served as president in 2002 and held several other positions as well.
    She enjoyed all kinds of music.
    She is survived by her parents, John and Marilyn Baker, of Jamestown; daughter and son-in-law, Amber Elaine and Larry Knutson, of Ben Lomond; grandchildren, Patrick, Connor and Garrett Brooks, all of Ben Lomond; and siblings, Dale Baker, of Kiezer, Ore., and Debra and husband Jack Lorino, of Las Vegas.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Kenyon.
    A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Feb. 18 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Sonora.
    Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.


    GALVAN — Michael Galvan, 54, formerly of Sonora, died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wisconsin. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
    SANDERS — Ronald Sanders, 84, of Copperopolis, died Tuesday at his home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
    THIENES —Steve Thienes, 76, of Sonora, died Tuesday at his home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
