Marjorie Deloris Shuster

Longtime Twain Harte resident Marjorie Deloris Shuster died Feb. 23 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. She was 85.
Mrs. Shuster was born in Stockton, the daughter of Elsie and John Harms.
She married Arthur Shuster on Sept. 6, 1950, in Pocatello, Idaho.
They moved to Santa Clara where Mrs. Shuster taught elementary school for 39 years.
In 1988, she and her husband retired to Twain Harte.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed crocheting, reading, cruising and bowling.
Mrs. Shuster was preceded in death by her parents, Elsie and John Harms.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Shuster, of Twain Harte; son, Gregory Shuster, of Camas, Wash.; daughter, Deborah Allen, of Simi Valley; granddaughter, Jennifer Shuster, of San Jose; grandson, David Garrett-Dike Shuster, of San Jose; and one great-grandchild, Brontae Shuster, of San Jose.
A private service is planned.

RUOFF — Marjorie Ruoff, 94, of Sonora, died Thursday at Meadowview Manor in East Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
SMITH — Elmer “Sonny” Arlando Smith Jr., 78, of Modesto, died Tuesday at his home. A gathering of friends will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by a memorial service at 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in San Andreas. Burial will be at the Double Springs Cemetery in Valley Springs. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
