Thomas Herbert Bruntz

Angels Camp resident Thomas Bruntz died Feb. 12 at his home. He was 83.
Mr. Bruntz was born in Windsor, Colo., to Jake and Agness Bruntz.
He served in the U.S. Navy for four years as a minesweeper during the Korean War. After being discharged, he married Geraldine “Jerry” Brunz in Raton, N.M.
He moved to Calaveras County more than 50 years ago. He worked in the logging industry and as an equipment operator in construction for 50 years.
He enjoyed line dancing and telling stories.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Geraldine “Jerry” Bruntz, of Angels Camp; son and daughter-in-law Thomas W. and Leah Bruntz, of Angels Camp; daughter, Terry Conrado, of Angels Camp; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Elaine Bruntz, of Georgia, and Robert and Betty Bruntz, of Indiana; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Jody Brunz, of Minden, Nev.; grandchildren, Jason Conrado, of Angels Camp, Jenae Lee, of Angels Camp, Emerald Cope, of Angels Camp, Vanessa Bruntz, of Stockton, and Jacob Bruntz, of Sonora; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces.
Services were held.
Angels Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.
George C. ‘Skip’
Feb. 8, 1936 — Dec. 29, 2012
Former Tuolumne resident George “Skip” Ingalls Jr. died Dec. 29 in a Sacramento hospital. He was 76.
Mr. Ingalls was born in Sonora to George C. Ingalls Sr. and Muriel Audrey Blake. He attended schools in Tuolumne and Sonora and enlisted in the U.S. Navy in the mid-1950s.
Mr. Ingalls received an associate’s degree from San Diego Community College and worked as an insurance agent in San Diego and Sacramento before becoming a long-haul truck driver. He most recently lived in Placerville.
He enjoyed deer hunting.
Mr. Ingalls is survived by his wife of 56 years, Norma (Flagg) Ingalls, of Placerville; daughter, Michelle Ingalls, of Placerville; sons, Ted Ingalls, of Galt, and Dan Ingalls, of Incline Village, Nev.; sisters, Sharon Usrey, of Grants Pass, Ore., Jackie Palmer, of Sonora, and Ruby Myers, of Oakhurst; brothers, Steve Miller, of Northern California, and Roy Ingalls, of Clear Lake; grandchildren, Patrick Schilber, deployed overseas in the U.S Air Force, Rachel Jorgenson, of Los Angeles, Amanda Robison, of the Rancho Murieta area, Andrea Tackett, of Galt, Tiffany Ingalls, of Michigan, and Gina Ingalls, of Denver, Colo.; two great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law, Mike Flagg, of Sonora.
A private family service is planned.

Harriet (Estby) Judd
March 30, 1924 — Jan. 30, 2013
San Andreas resident Harriet Judd died Jan. 30 at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital in San Andreas. She was 88.
Mrs. Judd was born at the family farm near Battleview, N.D., to Clarence N. and Bertha Estby. She attended school in the area, then moved to Reno, Nev., in 1946. She moved to California with her sisters for work when she was young. Except for a few visits back to North Dakota, she spent her remaining years here.
She married Slater A. Judd in 1947.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Kermit Estby; and sister, Mavis Augustine.
Mrs. Judd is survived by her son, Micheal Judd; grandchildren, Paige Judd and Micheal Judd Jr.; sisters, Bernice Shae, of Williston, N.D., and Kaye Schnock, of Diamond Bar; sisters-in-law, Berget Estby, of Portland, Ore., and Helen Coultrup, of San Andreas; brother-in-law, Grover Augustine, of Tioga, N.D.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. March 16 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1434 Howell Road, San Andreas.
