Loring ‘Kim’ (Banner) Earll

Sonora resident Loring “Kim” (Banner) Earll died Saturday at her home. She was 67.
Mrs. Earll was born in San Rafael, the daughter of Jack and Anita Banner.
She graduated from San Rafael High School in 1965.
She relocated with her two sons to Tuolumne County in 1976.
Mrs. Earll worked as a medical office manager. She retired as an employee trainer from Blue Shield Insurance in Sonora. She also worked at a local chiropractic office.
She married Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputy Jim Earll in 1978. They raised three sons.
Mrs. Earll was a member of the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse. She enjoyed cooking and volunteering as co-chairperson for the Mother Lode Roundup and parade. She also enjoyed traveling, fishing, painting and rodeos.
Mrs. Earll was preceded in death by her parents and a son, David Earll.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jim Earll; her sisters, Sherlyn Rains, of Shingle Springs, and Lynell Ballard, of Sonora; her sons and their spouses, Brent and Julie Johnson, of Sonora, and Scott and Tammy Johnson, of Red Wing, Minn.; five grandchildren, Tyler Johnson, Banner Johnson, Kellene Berry, Lindsey Ellis, and Hannah Johnson; and a great-grandson.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Posse Grounds, 19130 Rawhide Road, Jamestown.

Keith Allen Wallace
March 2, 1935 — Feb. 2, 2014
Sonora resident Keith Allen Wallace died of lymphoma-related heart failure Feb. 2 at his home. He was 78.
Mr. Wallace was born in Anderson, Ind., son of Ben and Margaret Wallace.
He married Margery Murdoch on Sept. 15, 1958. They lived in Modesto for a number of years before moving the family to Sonora in 1981.
He worked as a butcher in the meat processing business. He later worked as a real estate.
He and his wife traveled across the country in their RV beginning in 1992. They returned to Sonora in 2012 to be with their son, Jay Wallace.
Mr. Wallace was a member of the Sonora Elks Lodge.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ron Wallace.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margary Wallace, of Sonora; three children, Jay C. Wallace, of Sonora, Allen Wallace, of Bremerton, Wash., and Kelly Lofing, of Modesto; and his grandchildren, Lindsay Castle, Zackary Stillman, Joshua Lofing and Meghann Lofing.
No services are planned.

Dorothy ‘Doty’ Wright
July 25, 1958 — Jan. 31, 2014
Sonora resident Dorothy “Doty” Wright died Jan. 31 in an auto accident in Sonora. She was 55.
Ms. Wright was born in Millbrae, daughter of Charles and Audrey Wright.
She graduated from Crestmoor High School in San Bruno in 1976. She was a homemaker.
Ms. Wright was a member of Soulsbyville United Methodist Church and past honored queen of Job’s Daughters. She volunteered for Interfaith Community Social Services and Sierra Repertory Theatre.
Ms. Wright moved to Sonora 15 years ago to care for her mother. She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Charles and Elaine Wright Jr., of Oak Ridge, Donald and Diana Wright, of Fair Oaks, and Terralyn and Boyd Hillyer of Pacifica; and many nephews and nieces.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 23 at Soulsbyville United Methodist Church, 19882 Community Drive, Soulsbyville.

HARTWIG — A visitation for Dawn E. Hartwig, 44, of Angels Camp, who died Feb. 6 in a car accident in Jamestown, will be held from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Angels Memorial Chapel, 1071 S. Main St., Angels Camp. A celebration of life will be held in April. Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
HENDRICKS — Sonny Hendricks, 73, of Tuolumne, died Tuesday at his home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
PUTERBAUGH — Kathryn Puterbaugh, 89, of Sonora died Tuesday at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Feb. 20 at Skyline Place, 12811 Cabezut Road, Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
WALCOTT — John Walcott, 92, of Sonora, died Monday at his residence. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
WILEY — Marjorie Wiley, 87, of Sonora, died Feb. 9 at her home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
