Robert Frank Chimente

Robert Frank Chimente, of Sonora, died Wednesday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 64.
Mr. Chimente was born in Oakland and had lived in Sonora for 28 years.
He worked for Pacific Motor and Trucking for 33 years, commuting from Sonora to Fremont for 18 of those years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union for 33 years.
His family said he enjoyed collecting coins, was a gun enthusiast and was a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, Oakland Raiders and Notre Dame football teams. He also enjoyed cooking and canning.
Mr. Chimente is survived by his mother, Mary Chimente, of Sonora; two children and a son-in-law, Mark Chimente, of Turlock, and Brian and Michelle Alberto, of Sonora; two step-grandchildren, April and Austin Alberto, both of Sonora; a brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Maria Chimente, of Angels Camp; and three nephews.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home in Sonora. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sonora.

Memorial donations in Mr. Chimente’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, or any cancer charity.

HARDING — George Harding, 91, of Grizzly Flat, died Saturday at his home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
WEINBERG — Lynda Weinberg, 74, of Jamestown, died Saturday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
