Virginia Ethel Ivan Nov. 21, 1918 Dec. 8, 2003 Virginia Ethel Ivan of San Andreas died Monday, Dec. 8, at a San Andreas hospital. She was 85. She was born in Minneapolis, and moved to Redwood City in 1950. She had lived in San Andreas for the past seven years. She was a homemaker and earned her associate's degree to work as a medical secretary. She is survived by her children, Don Ivan of San Andreas, John Ivan of Hollister, Carole Osselear of San Diego, Dale Ivan of Lebanon, Ore., and Robert Ivan of Modesto; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. Billie Mae Parker May 17, 1924 Dec. 10, 2003 Billie Mae Parker of Valley Springs died Wednesday at a San Andreas hospital. She was 79. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, and had lived in Valley Springs for one year. She worked as a manager for various hotels, apartment complexes and mobile home parks. She served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-46 in communications. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Hanford, Kings County. She is survived by her husband, Ray Parker of Valley Springs; a daughter, Pamela Venable of Valley Springs; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Mike, Dan and Pat Parker. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at San Andreas Memorial Chapel. Inurnment will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements. Lillian J. Peck May 25, 1922 Dec. 9, 2003 Lillian J. Peck, mother of Dianne Gookin of Groveland, died Tuesday at a Sonora care home. She was 81. She was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. She previously lived in Rocklin. Her family said she enjoyed her dog, Tootie, crocheting, crafts, sewing, making goodies, country music and dancing. Mrs. Peck is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Dave Gookin of Groveland; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Betty Stiles Jr. of North Bend, Ore.; a sister, Nellie Simas of Yreka; five grandchildren, Greg Gookin and his girlfriend, Christine McMullin, of Post Falls, Idaho, Garry and his wife, Holly Gookin, of Rocklin, Courtney Gookin of Sonora, Glenn Stiles III and his wife, Vera Stiles, and Becky Stiles, all of Oregon; and two great-grandchildren, Layne and Kailey McCoy, both of Sonora. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Glenn Stiles Sr. and Troy A. Peck. A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow at Mt. Vernon Memorial Park in Fair Oaks, which is handling arrangements. Notices ALLARD Harmony Allard, 25, of Jamestown died yesterday at her home.
