Ralph Stockard
July 3, 1920 — Nov. 25, 2011

   Angels Camp resident Ralph Stockard died Nov. 25 at Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital in San Andreas. He was 91.
    Born in Ovilla, Texas, to Nell and Houston Stockard, he grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth Texas area and moved to Kerrville, Texas, when he was a teenager. While there he met and later married Veronica Klein. The couple had two sons together.
    In 1942, the couple moved to Southern California so he could work in the defense industry during World War II. He later joined the U.S. Army and served in the Philippines.
    He worked as a senior design engineer for a data products corporation in Southern California.
    In 1989, the couple moved to Angels Camp, where they built a home in Stelte Park.
    Mr. Stockard is survived by his wife of 73 years, Veronica Stockard, of Angels Camp; sons, Michael Stockard, of Valley Springs, and Don Stockard, of Jackson; grandchildren, Stacy McGee, of Anaheim Hills, Wendy Figueroa, of Moorpark, and Todd Stockard, of Broomfield, Colo.; and six great-grandchildren.
    No service is scheduled.
    Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
    Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Dee Anna Rock
Dec. 15, 1949 — Nov. 26, 2011

    Valley Springs resident Dee Anna Rock died Saturday at her home. She was 61.
    Born in Merced to Donna and Tom Winkleman, she grew up in Stockton and graduated from AA Stagg High School in 1968. She went on to attend MIT Business College in Stockton.
    She ran a licensed day care from her home for many years before going into commercial real estate.
    In 1990, she and her family moved to Valley Springs.
    Mrs. Rock is survived by her husband of 40 years, Dennis Rock, of Valley Springs; daughters, Lynette and husband Steve Bower, of Plumas Lake, and Tammy Wilhelm, of Valley Springs; granddaughter, Megan Wilhelm, of Valley Springs; father, Tom Winkleman, of Stockton; brother, Ted Winkleman, of Stockton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Winkleman.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 10 at the Good Samaritan Community Covenant Church, 4684 Baldwin St., Valley Springs.
    In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Good Samaritan Community Covenant Church, Dee Rock Memorial Fund, 4684 Baldwin St., Valley Springs, CA 95252.
    San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Matthew Gregory McCullough
Aug. 2, 1996 — Nov. 27, 2011

    Arnold resident Matthew Gregory McCullough died at home Sunday from brain cancer. He was 15.
    Born in Walnut Creek to Greg and Irene McCullough, he attended Hazel Fischer Elementary School and Avery Middle School. He was a sophomore at Bret Harte High School.
    He enjoyed game shows, playing games, hunting, fishing, camping, baseball, football and traveling. He was a Oakland As and Green Bay Packers fan.
    This past summer he went on a trip to the Grand Canyon in an RV, and was able to take a cruise with his family to Italy, Greece and Turkey through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.   
    His family said he never complained about his illness.
    He is survived by his parents, Greg and Irene McCullough, of Arnold; siblings, Michael and Hannah McCullough, both of Arnold; and numerous extended family member and friends.
    A celebration of life is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Hazel Fischer Elementary School in Arnold.

    KIRK — Ronald Kirk, 74, of Jackson, died Tuesday at his son’s home in Coulterville. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
