Beth (Simmons) Lewis

Former Jamestown resident Beth (Simmons) Lewis died Saturday at Life Quality Homes in Colorado Springs, Colo. She was 83.
Mrs. Lewis was born in McCloud, Siskiyou County, to Robert and Gladys Simmons.
She attended Oakdale High School and was a former resident of Waterford, La Grange, Stockton, Jamestown, and Hawaii.
She was a real estate broker for more than 20 years until retirement.
She was an investor and member of the Assemblies of God, a member of the Women’s Aglow ministry and a charter member of the Soroptimist of Maui.
Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by a great-grandson in 2008.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Cheri and Glenn McCormick, of Pleasanton, Bette Ann and Tim Erickson, of La Junta, Colo., Mary Beth and Keith Hollinger, of Colorado Springs, and John and Daisy Carpenter, of Kailua, Hawaii; her grandchildren, Mark and Jeff McCormick, Dan Erickson, Elisabeth Erickson-Noe, Matt Carpenter, Anna Cornett, Dallyce Erickson and Ben Hollinger; and 10 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimers Association Colorado Chapter, 2315 Bott Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80904.
A graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson.
Johnson-Romero Funeral Home and Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel are handling the arrangements.

GOODWIN — Ruth Goodwin, 85, of Tuolumne, died Thursday at home. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
HOWARD-CAUDLE — A memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Masonic Graveyard in Milton, for the late Nathan L. Howard, his wife, Erika E. Howard and her aunt, Cathryn P. Caudle, who died in 2010 and 2011, respectively.
