John Hedge, a longtime resident of Tuolumne County, passed away on Aug. 15, 2014, at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Hedge was born on April 8, 1930, in Los Angeles, California. He worked as an aerospace engineer for 30 years. Mr. Hedge served in the California National Guard during the Korean War and was a member of the Don Pedro Gold Chain Lions Club. He also enjoyed traveling.
He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Hedge, in 1971.
Mr. Hedge is survived by his wife, Jean Hedge, of La Grange; his daughter, Donna Chapman, of Tuolumne; sons, Bruce Hedge, of Copperopolis, and Robert Hedge, of Simi Valley; grandchildren, Michelle Wagner, Carl Wagner, Sean Chapman, Christine Hedge, Matthew Hedge and April Hedge; and great-grandson, Bradley Wagner.
A graveside service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Dambacher Mountain Memorial, 22394 Lyons Bald Mountain Road, Sonora.

MILLER — A memorial service for U.S. Army veteran Harry “Logan” Miller, 73, of Sonora, who died April 29 at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base, was held Aug. 16 in Martinez. Fairmont Memorial Park handled arrangements.
NIELSEN — Steven Albert “Steve” Nielsen, 62, of Sonora, died Aug. 1 at his home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
