Myrtle Reba ‘Myrt’ (Dill) Aubrey
June 19, 1942 — July 28, 2012
Jamestown resident Myrtle Reba “Myrt” (Dill) Aubrey died Saturday at home. She was 70.
Mrs. Aubrey was born in Dade County, Miss., to Reba and Harrison Wood Dill.
Her family moved to California when she was a young girl. She and her husband moved to Jamestown 46 years ago to raise their family.
She worked at Central Sierra Bank, which later became Umpqua Bank, for 23 years until retirement.
She enjoyed learning new skills, cooking and gardening and was a member of the Table Mountain Chapel for over 40 years.
Mrs. Aubrey was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Ray Aubrey, in 1998; her father, in 1983; and brother, George Dill, in 2007.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Ray Aubrey, of Jamestown; her mother, Reba Dill, of Sutter Creek; her daughter, Carol Miles, of Cold Springs; daughter-in-law, Gina Aubrey-Wertz, of Soulsbyville; siblings, Bob Dill, of Jackson, and Helen Sauer, of Chula Vista; six grandchildren, Michelle Foster, of Dalhart, Texas, Melissa Austin, of Jamestown, Jessica Aubrey-Lopez of La Coruna, Spain, Mindy Miles, of Sonora, Bobby Ray Aubrey, of Sonora, and William Miles, of Crestline; and four great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with a memorial service following at 1 p.m. at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, which is also handling arrangements.
Rachal Beverley ‘Rae’ Cuppet
March 21, 1923 — July 20, 2012
Twain Harte resident Rachel Beverley “Rae” Cuppet died July 20 at her home. She was 89.
Mrs. Cuppet was born in San Jose. She lived throughout Northern California in her early years. She graduated from Hayward High School and moved to Oakland where she lived at the Blue Triangle Club residence hall during World War II.
She married her high school sweetheart, Charles “Chuck” Cuppet, after the war ended. They had five children and traveled to all 50 states, China and western Europe. The retired to Twain Harte in 1978.
She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and was a member of the All Saints Ladies Guild. She volunteered with Interfaith Community Social Services, and other committees and events.
Mrs. Cuppet was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Cuppet Sr., and son, Charles R. Cuppet Jr.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Beverly and Michael Ryan, Laura Cuppet, Barbara Cuppet, and Dorothy Reid; eight grandchildren and their spouses, David and Iris Cuppet, Tracie and David Walters, Tolen Cuppet, Demian “James” Cuppet, Gabe Cuppet, Morgan Cuppet, Jennifer Reid, Steven Reid; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church in Twain Harte.

Ruth Pauline ‘Paulie’ (Circle) Uvelli
Oct. 1, 1919 — July 30, 2012
Columbia resident Ruth Pauline “Paulie” (Circle) Uvelli died Monday at home. She was 92.
Mrs. Uvelli was born in Lafontaine, Kan.
She and her husband moved to Columbia 30 years ago to be closer to family.
She worked as an interior decorator with a contractor for 17 years.
She enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts, especially oil painting. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband with their travel trailer.
Mrs. Uvelli was preceded in death by her sons, Franklin Dornes and Donald Dornes; and grandson, Daniel Dornes.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joseph Uvelli, of Columbia; her children, Darla Herbert, of Oakdale, and Ruth McLaurin, of Sonora; grandchildren, Tracy Hunt, of Los Angeles, Terry Hunt, of Sonora, Mary Gorgas, of Jamestown, Todd Herbert, of Stockton, and Mary Margaret Borra, of Washington; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, which is also handling arrangements.

TANI — Mariati Tani, 47, of Sausalito, died Tuesday in a rafting accident in Groveland. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
