Ronald William Ingersoll
March 12, 1960 — Aug. 24, 2011

    Copperopolis resident Ronald William Ingersoll died Aug. 24 at his home. He was 51.
    Born in Santa Cruz to Zelda and Craig L. Ingersoll, he worked as a massage therapist for 20 years.
    He was a member of the Royal Order of Muskrats and enjoyed fishing, gardening and motocross.
    Mr. Ingersoll is survived by his mother, Zelda Ingersoll, of Copperopolis; longtime girlfriend, Charlene Davis, of Prunedale; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Jennifer Ingersoll, of Copperopolis; and a nephew.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Craig L. Ingersoll.
    A graveside service will be scheduled for a later date at the Copperopolis Cemetery.
    Donations can be made to the Hospice of Amador and Calaveras Counties, P.O. Box 595, Jackson, CA 95642.
    Angels Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.


Edna Lucille Linden
Jan. 24, 1924 — Aug. 24, 2011

    Sonora native and former Columbia resident Edna Lucille Linden died Aug. 24 at her home in Pioneer. She was 87.
    Born in Sonora to Forrest and Esther Schoettgen, she was a third generation Californian and lifelong Mother Lode resident.
    She grew up in Columbia and later moved to Calaveras County, then Amador County.
    She worked as an administrative assistant for Hazel Fischer Elementary School in Arnold then Pine Grove Elementary in Pine Grove.
    She enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, nature, and reading.
    Mrs. Linden is survived by her husband, George Linden, of Pioneer; children and their spouses, Ken and Alison Linden, of Irvine, and Diane and Brian Payne, of Pioneer; grandchildren, Jeremiah Payne, of Arnold, Albert Linden, of Texas, and Katrina, Jeffrey and Christopher Linden, all of Irvine; and six nieces and nephews.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings.
    No service is scheduled.

    The Amador Hills Cremation and Funeral Service in Pine Grove is handling arrangements.



Marlene Ann Delnero
May 12, 1938 — Aug. 28, 2011

    Marlene Ann Delnero, of Sonora, died Sunday at the Hy-Lond Care Center in Modesto. She was 73.
    A Sonora native, she was raised in Angels Camp. After she was married, she returned to Sonora in 1961 where she lived for 50 years. She was a homemaker who loved cooking.
    She is survived by two children, Deanna Delnero Smith, of Jamestown, and Jennifer Delnero, of Columbia; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Colton Smith, of Jamestown; and one brother, Vernon Ratkovich, of Angels Camp.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Delnero, in 2010, and her parents, Mildred Ratkovich in 1987 and Nickola Ratkovich in 1980.
  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Sonora.
    Donations may be made to St. Vasilje Church, P.O. Box 673, Altaville, CA. 95221.
    Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.


Jean Sheets
Feb. 10, 1916 — Aug., 27, 2011

    Jean Sheets, of Sonora, died Saturday at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. She was 95.
    She was born in Needles to Robert and Magdalene Foote. Her interests included reading and writing poetry and reading the Bible.  She was a member of Christian Heights Assembly of God.
    She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Victor and Rose Sheets, of Sonora; a daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Dan Cowley, of Brookings, Ore.; a sister, Helen McDonald, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, in 1999, and a son, Richard, in 2001.
    Private family services will be held. 
    Heuton Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.

A time to remember will be held at the Hanson home in Gardnerville from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Call 775-790-0447 for directions. Walton’s Family of Funeral Homes is handling arrangements.
