Kenneth Blayne ‘Boss’ Livingston

Sonora resident Kenneth Blayne “Boss” Livingston died Aug. 25 at Sonora Regional Medical Center. He was 57.
Mr. Livingston was born in Placerville to Ladelle and Kenneth Lee Livingston.
He graduated from Sonora High School in 1974.
After he joined the Yosemite Trail Crew and served as a seasonal firefighter with the U.S. Forest Service.
He later moved to Stockton with his family. There he owned a wholesale jewelry shop where he made and designed custom pieces for clients of various retailers including Rogers, DeVons, Crescent, and Zales jewelers. He also did repair work.
He retired to Sonora in 2001.
Mr. Livingston enjoyed drawing, painting, songwriting, fishing and the outdoors.
Mr. Livingston was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Lee Livingston.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Julie Livingston, of Sonora; mother, Ladelle Livingston, of Sonora; his children and their spouses, Krishna Livingston and Paul Fabing, of Sonora, Calvin Livingston and Macy Williamson, of Sonora, Jesse and Alisha Livingston, of Tuolumne, and Jonny Livingston and Jessica Parrez, of Tuolumne; his siblings and their spouses, David and Kay Livingston, of Groveland, Brenda and Larry Bezaitis, of Sonora, and Trina and Erik Weber, of Columbia; grandchildren, Kyle and Kaleb Livingston, of Sonora, Logann Livingston, of Tuolumne, Kadance Cicero, of Sonora, Brooklynn Livingston, of Tuolumne, and Haley Fabing, of Sonora; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, 225 E. Rose St., Sonora, with burial at Columbia City Cemetery. A celebration of life will follow at 12360 Big Hill Road, Columbia.

San Andreas resident Leo Schmollinger died Aug. 23 at his home. He was 61.
Mr. Schmollinger was born in Turtle Lake, N.D. to Reinholdt and Dorthy Schmollinger.
He grew up in Calaveras County and graduated from Calaveras High School in 1970.
Mr. Schmollinger was a carpenter for 43 years.
He coached Pop Warner football for a number of years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, the outdoors and 49ers football. He also enjoyed airplanes and taking his children to airshows.
Mr. Schmollinger was preceded in death by his father, Reinhold Schmollinger.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Deana Schmollinger, of San Andreas; mother, Dorthy Schmollinger, of San Andreas; father- and mother-in-law, Dean and Nora Porterfield, of Valley Springs; children, Justin Schmollinger, of Valley Springs, Mark Stockdale, of Valley Springs, Michael Schmollinger, of San Andreas; grandchildren, Malachi Stockdale, Elijah Stockdale, Eve Stockdale and Zoe Stockdale, Emma Schmollinger, Todd Schweitzer, Hudson Feuerstein, Payton Schmollinger, all of Valley Springs, Danial Schmollinger, of San Andreas; his siblings, Arvedell Walker, of San Andreas, Gene Schmollinger, of Murphys, and Joanne Youngblood, of San Andreas; and brother-in-law, Dennis Biedinger and his wife, Cyndi, of Jamestown.
A potluck memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at a Schmollinger family home call 772-1478, 772-1812 or text 256-1402.

GONZALES — Laurel E. Gonzales, 62, of Sonora, died Aug. 25 at her home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
MALGESINI — A funeral Mass for Anthony “Tony” Malgesini, 87, of Tuolumne, who died Tuesday at his home, will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sept. 7 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 18473 Gardner Ave., Tuolumne. A private graveside service will be held at Carters Cemetery, Tuolumne. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
