Sonora resident Daniel Gregoreo Harlander died Aug. 15 at his home. He was 47.
Mr. Harlander was born in Los Angeles to Sharon Lane and Glen Thompson.
Mr. Harlander was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his partner of 17 years, Cynthia Reyes, of Sonora; and his stepchildren, Bennie Mora, of Fort Lewis, Wash., and Christina Mora, of Sonora; and grandson, Drew Johnson, of Sonora.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the family home in Sonora.

Marjorie (Hedgespath) Fiske Miller
July 29, 1914 — Aug. 17, 2013
Former Tuolumne County resident Marjorie (Hedgespath) Fiske Miller died Aug. 17 at the Masonic Home of Union City. She was 99.
Mrs. Miller was born Marjorie Hedgespath in Alturas in Modoc County to Robert and Elaine Hedgespath.
She worked as the Tuolumne County correspondent for the Modesto Bee for 10 years and lived in the county for more than 60 years.
She was named worthy matron and served as district deputy of the Tuolumne chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star 123.
Mrs. Miller settled in Union City 13 years ago.
Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Fiske, in 1974; and second husband, Harry Miller, in 1987.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Gerald and Liz Fiske, of Pahrump, Nev., and Berna Hamilton, of Sonora; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sonora Masonic Cemetery.

Joan (McNeill) Muetterties
March 14, 1937 — Aug. 19, 2013
Arnold resident Joan (McNeill) Muetterties died Aug. 19 at Sonora Regional Medical Center’s long term care unit after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease. She was 76.
Mrs. Muetterties was born in Philadelphia, Pa., to Albert and Sarah McNeill.
She attended West Chester University and graduated from Chester County Hospital School of Nursing in 1957.
She passed the Pennsylvania state nursing board before she was legally allowed to work as a registered nurse.
She married Larry Muetterties in September 1958.
Mrs. Muetterties worked in the labor and delivery unit at Chester County Hospital and Wilmington General Hospital before moving to Fremont in 1964.
She and her husband moved to Arnold in 1970.
She worked as a night shift supervisor at Bret Harte Hospital in Murphys.
She later earned a real estate broker’s license after the hospital closed. She and her husband operated a real estate business for a number of years before retirement.
Mrs. Muetterties was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Albert McNeill Jr.; and an infant daughter.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lawrence P. Muetterties, of Arnold; her children and their spouses, Timothy and Lisa Muetterties, of Arnold, Heidi and Barry Ward, of Arnold, and Christopher and Carah Muetterties, of Angels Camp; grandchildren, Dylan Muetterties, of Lake Tahoe, Rachael Ward, of Fulsom, Mallory Ward and Madison Ward, of Arnold, and Jordan, Albert and C. Bailey Muetterties, of Angels Camp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Foothill Community Church, Rock Youth Group, P.O. Box 518, Angels Camp, CA 95222.
A private interment will be held Saturday at the Protestant Cemetery in Angels Camp. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Foothill Community Church, 3710 Whittle Road, Angels Camp.

COOK — Lawrence Cook, 66, of Copperopolis, died Thursday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
