Edna ‘Lori’ (Woods) Broglio

Angels Camp resident Edna “Lori” Broglio died Aug. 12 at her home. She was 57.
Mrs. Broglio was born Edna Woods in Japan to Eleanor and Frederick Woods. Her parents were stationed at a U.S. Air Force base there.
She moved with her family to Angels Camp 45 years ago.
Mrs. Broglio worked as a licensed vocational nurse for Drs. Thompson, Johnson and Orman in Murphys for six years in the 1980s. She later worked as a nurse for the California Youth Authority for 20 years until retirement.
Mrs. Broglio was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Woods.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Kent Broglio, of Angels Camp; daughters and their spouses, Andreana and Jason Knick, of Angels Camp, and Danielle and Josh Pullen, of Angels Camp; mother, Eleanor Woods, of Florida; siblings and their spouses, Fred and Betty Woods, of Fiddletown, Ramona and Ed Hahn, of Florida, and Lynn Vanotti, of Stockton; and five grandchildren.
An “after party” will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Broglio Ranch on Dogtown Road in Angels Camp.
Inurnment will be private.
Donations can be made to a charity of choice.

Sonora resident Donald Lamar died Aug. 4 at Sonora Regional Medical Center’s long-term care unit. He was 85.
Mr. Lamar was born and raised in Monterey County to Lena and Rudy Lamar.
Mr. Lamar graduated from Salinas High School in 1946, and attended Hartnell College and Armstrong Business College.
He married Lois Emery in 1948.
He owned Lamar & Bock Realty and worked as a realtor in Carmel and Monterey for 40 years. Mr. Lamar retired to Sonora in 1995.
He enjoyed music and was a member of Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America. He was also a member of the Carmel Board of Realtors, Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce, Junior Chamber of Commerce, Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and Quota International.
He cared for animals and volunteered at the Tuolumne County Humane Society.
Mr. Lamar was preceded in death by his son, Rudy Lamar; and sister, Margo Shannon.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lois Lamar, of Sonora; daughter, Shelley Lamar, of Concord; granddaughter, Natalie Lamar, of Salinas; daughter-in-law, Lisa Lamar, of Salinas; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sonora Regional Medical Center, Unit 6. Park View Cemetery and Funeral Home in Manteca is handling arrangements.

LUEPKE — Patrick Luepke, 57, of Sonora, died Aug. 13 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Crystal Falls Clubhouse. A potluck luncheon will follow. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
