Clyde Ernest Anderson, Jr.
Aug. 30, 1920 — April 1, 2012
Longtime Mountain Ranch resident Clyde Ernest Anderson, Jr. died Sunday at Mark Twain Convalescent Hospital in San Andreas. He was 91.
Mr. Anderson was born in Oakland and grew up in Fremont. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked for Westinghouse in Sunnyvale for 30 years. Mr. Anderson and his family moved to Mountain Ranch in 1981. He was a founding member of the Kennel Club of the Sierra and was a free and accepted Mason in the Masonic Lodge in Sunnyvale. He was also a member of the Manufacturing Engineers union and raised and showed bull dogs for many years.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson, of Mountain Ranch; sisters Sandra Frates, of Scappoose, Ore. and Claudine Chase, of Mountain Ranch; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons William Anderson and Clyde Anderson III.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Robert George ‘Bob’ Dubsky
March 29, 1916 — March 30, 2012
Jamestown resident Robert George “Bob” Dubsky died March 30 at Avalon Care Center. He was 96.
Mr. Dubsky was born in Cicero, Ill., to a family of nine children. Mr. Dubsky married Ruth L. Schimels on Sept. 9, 1939, and they had been childhood friends. He and his wife retired to Tuttletown in 1972 and lived there more than 30 years before moving to Mill Villa Estates in Jamestown in 2003.
He was a retired service station and garage owner. He operated a Shell Oil station in Chicago and North Hollywood and a Union 76 station in Simi Valley. Mr. Dubsky also enjoyed singing and sang in his church choir. He was a lifelong Christian and converted to the Lutheran Church when he was married.
He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, camping and traveling the West and Alaska including road trips with his family. Mr. Dubsky once caught a 52.5 pound King Salmon in Alaska and a six pound Brook Trout in Wyoming. He also enjoyed golf and played in Pebble Beach with his son, Paul Dubsky.
Mr. Dubsky was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Joseph, Arthur, John and Leonard; sisters, Mayme, Alice and Lillian; and his daughter, Ruthanne Dubsky, in 1966.
Mr. Dubsky is survived by his wife of 72.5 years, Ruth L. Dubsky, of Jamestown; children Robert Frederick Dubsky, of Tuolumne, and Paul Allan Dubsky, of Pacific Grove; grandchildren, Robert George Dubsky, of Tuolumne, Marlyce Franks, of Arroyo Grande, and John Dubsky, of Boyd, Mont.; and three great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. April 10 at St. Matthews Lutheran Church in Sonora.
