Arlene Joyce
(Smith) Petro   

Feb. 20, 1949 — April 22, 2012

Sonora resident Arlene Joyce (Smith) Petro died April 22 at her home. She was 63.

Mrs. Petro was born in San Francisco and lived in Sonora for 14 years. She enjoyed making quilts and bead jewelry. She also enjoyed making stained glass and tole painting.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Marie Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Petro, of Sonora; children Lisa Brown, of Carlin, Nev., and Tony Jackson, of Auburn; stepchildren Brian Petro, of Tracy and April Ponce, of Oakdale; and grandchildren Nicole, Garrett, Katlyn and Ethan, Brown of Carlin, Nev.,  Mariah Jackson of Auburn, and Hailey and Landon Ponce, of; her brother, Ric Smith, of Morgan Hill, and sister, Marilyn Robbs, of Fallon, Nev.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. May 12 at The Journey Church, 14425 Mono Way, East Sonora.

Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Ronald Anderson

March 30, 1935 — April 22, 2012

Former Mi-Wuk Village resident Ronald Anderson died April 22 at a Modesto care home. He was 77.

Mr. Anderson was born in Pittsburg and served in the U.S. Air Force in Europe.

He was a member of American Legion Post 58. Mr. Anderson was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Sugar Pine. He was a football coach at the Menlo Park School District for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and backpacking in Kennedy Meadows.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his son, Jeffrey Anderson, of Oregon; his daughter, Roni Ramerez, of New York City; seven grandchildren; and his caretakers Norman and Elizabeth Beyer, of Sonora.

No services will be held.

Burial was at Carters Cemetery in Tuolumne.

Joseph Behee  

March 30, 1950 — April 23, 2012

Joseph Behee, formerly of Tuolumne County, died April 23 at his home in Rohnert Park. He was 63.

He graduated from Summerville High School in 1968.

Mr. Behee is survived by his daughter, Stacey Ankrom and her husband, Tim, of Santa Rosa; a son, Bobby Johnston, and his wife, Jinny Marie, of San Diego; a granddaughter, Kendall Johnston, of San Diego; and by his siblings and their spouses, Anne and Ed Smith, of Canada, Janet Behee, of Sonora, Bob and Cathy Behee, of Chinese Camp, Stephen Behee and Regina Parson, of Hawaii, and Chris Behee, of Hawaii.

Daniels Chapel of the Roses in Santa Rosa is handling services. 

A memorial service will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on May 19 at 1358 Oak View Circle, Rohnert Park.

LEWIS — Theodore John Lewis, Sr., 68, of Sonora, died April 24 at Stanford University Medical Center. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements. 

ROACH — Natalie Roach, 92, of Jamestown, died Thursday at Avalon Care Center in Sonora. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, and a graveside will be held at Jamestown City Cemetery at 1 p.m. Thursday. 

STUCKER — Odessa Vearl Stucker, 90, of Jamestown, died Wednesday at Casa Viejos in Jamestown. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
