Patricia Dawn (Ziehlke) Davey

Jamestown resident Patricia Dawn (Ziehlke) Davey died April 4 at her home. She was 82.
Mrs. Davey was born in Los Angeles to Barbara Dawn (Gibbs) Ziehlke and Joseph Alexander Ziehlke. She graduated from Sonora High School in 1947 and lived in Jamestown the past 60 years.
She studied music at San Jose State University and often sang at church and private celebrations.
Mrs. Davey was a homemaker, and worked part-time as a sales clerk for Tots N Teens.
She was a member of the Northern California Pacific Women’s Golf Association, and served as tournament chairwoman for a several years. She sponsored annual golf tournaments in Carson City, Nev,. for 25 years with her husband, was an advocate for junior golf programs, and received two John Walker International Hole in One Awards.
Mrs. Davey enjoyed golf, gardening, ceramics, knitting, crocheting, baking, country music, as well as playing saxophone, autoharp, accordion, piano and organ.
She was preceded in death by her husband for 58 years, Richard “Dick” Davey; daughter, Kathleen Wood; son, Richard “Rick” Paul Davey; and sister-in-law, Nan Davey.
Mrs. Davey is survived by her daughter, Christine Thompson, of Sacramento; brother, Lawrence “Larry” Ziehlke, of Murphys; son-in-law, John Wood, of Jamestown; grandchildren, Trina Keating, of Sacramento, Jamie Whitmore-Cardenas, of Mount Auburn, Kevin and Matt Carne, both of Turlock, and Kimberly Perez, of Modesto; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home, 225 E. Rose St., Sonora. A potluck reception will follow at 15501 Peoria Flat Road, Jamestown.

Linda Louise (Algeo) Disney
May 21, 1956 — March 5, 2013
Former Sonora resident Linda Louise (Algeo) Disney died March 5 in Pensacola, Fla. She was 56.
Mrs. Disney was born in Sonora to Richard J. and Barbara R. Algeo. She graduated from La Grange Grammar School, then from Sonora High School in 1974.
She was a homemaker, and moved to Pensacola in 2004.
She enjoyed reading and camping.
Mrs. Disney was preceded in death by her husband, Bud Disney; her father; and her grandparents.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Algeo, of Sonora; children, Mac Disney and daughter-in-law Tami Disney, of Modesto, Bobby Disney, of Hanford, and Jennifer Disney, of Sonora; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Bruce Marine, of Sonora; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Lisa Algeo, of Bridgeport; and three grandchildren, Dylan and Bryce Disney, both of Modesto, and Cali Disney, of Sonora.
