Didrichsen

July 15, 1920-April 11, 2004

Former longtime Sonora resident Marlyn (Speers) Didrichsen died Sunday, April 11, at a Monterey care home. She was 83.

She lived in Sonora for 20 years. Her family said she was an artist and writer.

She is survived by her daughters, Tina Bareuther of Louisville, Ky., and Sandi Didrichsen of Seattle; and two grandchildren.

No services are scheduled.

Donations can be made to the Tuolumne County Senior Center, 540 Greenley Road, Sonora, CA 95370.

The Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove is handling arrangements.

Estella E. Brown

Oct. 24, 1940-April 18, 2004

Estella E. Brown of Sonora died Sunday at her home after a long illness. She was 63.

She was born in Los Angeles and lived in Sonora for four years. She worked as a medical receptionist in the Sacramento area for 30 years. She was a member of Columbia Presbyterian Church of the 49ers and the Sierra Quilting Guild.

Her family said she enjoyed crafts, gardening, reading and sewing. She had a magnetic personality and loved to volunteer, they said.

She is survived by her mother, Estelle E. (Gibbons) Salisbury of Sacramento; daughters, Stephanie A. Reid of Sonora, Donna M. Price of New Orleans and Tracey E. and Mary L. Brown, both of Sacramento; a son, Anthony B. Price of Honolulu; a brother, Milton A. Salisbury Jr. of Los Angeles; sisters, Rochelle Greaux of Sacramento and Lola M. Dalton of Chico; grandsons, John Paul Regli and Timmy Reid, both of Sonora, and Christopher Regli of Kailua Kona, Hawaii; a nephew, Eric Salisbury; nieces, Lynn Salisbury, Vanessa Yates, Cameron Dalton and Lawna Dalton-Saldavar; and numerous other relatives.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Columbia Presbyterian Church of the 49ers.

Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Lettie Emily Fahey

May 23, 1908-April 15, 2004

Former longtime Sonora resident Lettie Emily Fahey died Thursday at an Oakdale care center. She was 95.

A native of Manteca, Mrs. Fahey lived in Sonora for 35 years and later moved to Oakdale, where she lived for 48 years. She was a homemaker.

She belonged to St. Mary's Catholic Church, Petria Institute, Young Ladies Institute, Oakdale Women's Club and Oakdale Garden Club.

She is survived by her children, Edward and Robert Fahey, both of Oakdale; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Fahey.

Services were held.

Donations can be made to Oakdale Relay for Life, in care of the American Cancer Society, 1604 Ford Ave., Suite 8, Modesto, CA 95350.

Oakdale Memorial Chapel handled arrangements.
