Sonora resident Annie Riggs died Thursday at her home. She was 85.
Mrs. Riggs was born in Willits to Ernest and Addie Marie Page.
She worked as a homemaker for 65 years, mostly in Willits.
She enjoyed sewing, making teddy bears and bunnies, and gardening.
Mrs. Riggs is survived by her husband 67 years, Luman Riggs, of Sonora; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Lee Closser, of Chiloquin, Ore.; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Tracie Riggs, of Sonora; grandchildren, Christopher Closser, of Puyallup, Wash., Amie and Addie Riggs, both of Sonora; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Willits Cemetery on Fort Bragg Road.
Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
Anita Marie Antoinette (Sorel) Rodriguez

Sonora resident Anita Rodriguez died March 29 at her son’s home in Sonora. She was 94.
Mrs. Rodriguez was born in Central Falls, R.I., to Edouard and Laure Sorel.
She graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Rhode Island.
Mrs. Rodriguez was a veteran of the Women’s Army Corps in World War II. She met Charles Rodriguez in the service, and they married in 1945.
She worked for several years as a seamstress and lived in Sonora since 1945.
Mrs. Rodriguez was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish, Omega Nu, Young Ladies Institute at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Interfaith Community Social Services, Mountain Springs Ladies Club, Pine Mountain Lake Ladies Club, Twain Harte Golf Ladies Club, Oakdale Country Club Ladies Club and a volunteer for Sonora Regional Medical Center.
She enjoyed golfing, gardening, yard work, reading, knitting and crocheting.
Mrs. Rodriguez was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles Rodriguez; her parents; sister, Laure Sorel; brother, George Sorel; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Raymond “Bumpy” Rodriguez, Norbert “Holly” Wilson and Elaine Wilson, and Doris Sorel.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Gerry and Karen Rodriguez and Ed and Alba Rodriguez, all of Sonora; grandson, Rodrigo Galvez, of Sonora; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Rodriguez, of Sonora; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St., Sonora.

KLOBUCHER — A memorial service for Johanna V. Klobucher, 95, of Sonora, who died Jan. 11 at Skyline Place in Sonora, will be held 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 127 W. Jackson St. Sonora. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
PESSLER — Loredana Maria Pessler, 86, of Sonora, died Monday at her home. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
PETERSON — Lucky Peterson, 67, of Jamestown, died Thursday at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
PRATT — Anita Pratt, 69, of Sonora died Friday at Sonora Regional Medical Center. Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
QUILLEN — A celebration of life for Cheli Quillen, 52, of Sonora, who died March 26 at her home, will be held 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Kiriluk Ranch, 17900 Apple Colony Road, Tuolumne. Home of Peace Cemetery in Sacramento is handling arrangements.
