Kerry Michael McDonald

April 23, 1947 — April 14, 2003

Kerry Michael McDonald, 55, formerly of Sonora, died of a heart attack Monday in Noti, Ore.

Mr. McDonald was born in San Francisco and had lived in Sonora from 1974 until last month, when he and his wife, Sandy, moved to Oregon after retirement.

He graduated from Sequoia High School, Redwood City, in 1965, and had several jobs over the years. Among those, he had worked for the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department years ago, had been a private investigator and, most recently, had been a Meryvn's store security manager in Sonora.

His family said he loved to travel with his wife in their motor home.

In addition to his wife of eight years, Sandy McDonald of Oregon, Mr. McDonald is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Deanna and Brett Fulkerson of Sonora and Cristin and Jim McCoy of La Grange; his stepchildren, Dana Browne, and her husband, Shawn, of San Lorenzo, and Mark Spillers of Minnesota; grandchildren, Brooke, Bradley and Blaine Fulkerson, all of Sonora; Gavan and Riddock McCoy of La Grange, Jeremy and Tiffany Browne of San Lorenzo; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dennis and Sandy McDonald of Long Beach and Stuart McDonald of Cupertino.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home in Sonora.

Dean Gordon Molloy

May 28, 1960 — April 8, 2003

Dean Molloy, 42, son of Gordon and Judy Molloy of Twain Harte, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home in Sacramento.

Mr. Molloy was born in Inglewood, Los Angeles County, and had stayed at his family's cabin in Twain Harte over the years.

He was a self-taught chef with a long and successful career in food service. At the time of his death, he was executive chef for California Cafe, Arden Fair, Sacramento.

Mr. Molloy is survived by his wife, Lisia Molloy of Sacramento; two daughters, Candice and Amanda Molloy of Sacramento; a sister, Lorrie Timmons of Scotts Valley, Santa Cruz County; and a brother, Mark Molloy of Scotts Valley.

A memorial service was held April 14.
