Kevin Robert
McNamara
Sept. 23, 1955 — April 2, 2011

    San Andreas resident Kevin Robert McNamara died April 2 at his home. He was 55.
    Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he grew up in Millbrae and moved to San Mateo in 1995 before settling in San Andreas in 2008.
    He worked as a carpenter.
    He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Andrews Catholic Church and the Carpenter’s Union in San Mateo.
    Mr. McNamara is survived by his wife, Ann Patti McNamara, of San Andreas; and siblings, Michael R. McNamara, of San Bruno, and Mary Ellen Nixon, of Lewiston.
    A memorial service has already been held.
    Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, 207 E. Alpine Ave., Stockton, CA 95204.
    San Andreas Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

Christine Jeanette
Gresham
Jan. 2, 1948 — March 29, 2011

    Former Sonora resident Christine Jeanette Gresham died March 29 at her home in Pacifica. She was 63.
    Born in San Francisco to Edward and Marge Duffy, she graduated from Oceana High School in Pacifica.
    She was a homemaker, secretary and also worked as a bartender for 30 years.
    She lived in Sonora for 20 years.
    Mrs. Gresham is survived by her mother, Marge Duffy, of Placerville; brother, Steve Duffy, of Placerville; children, Stacy Mathis, of San Francisco, and Edward Turner, of Concord; four grandchildren; an aunt, uncle and cousins.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gresham; and father, Edward Duffy.
    No service is scheduled.
    Duggans Mortuary in Daly City is handling arrangements.


Elsie Schoon
Aug. 12, 1917 — April 6, 2011

    Sonora resident Elsie Schoon died April 6 at her home. She was 93.
    Born in Holland, she worked as a seamstress and drapery manufacturer for 15 years. She lived in Sonora for eight years.
    She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Ripon and enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and knitting.
    She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Bea Schoon, of Sonora; and grandchildren, Sheril Dupuich, and Rob and Kevin Schoon, all of Sonora.
    A graveside service has already been held.
    Heuton Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.

    BROOKSHIRE — Herbert Brookshire, 79, of Sonora, died April 2 at the Country Villa Health Care Center in Modesto. Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel in Modesto is handling arrangements.
    CHATELAIN — Bonnie Lee Chatelain, 64, of Jamestown, died Friday at Sonora Regional Medical Center’s Transitional Care. Terzich and Wilson Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
