Jamestown resident of 30 years, Kenneth Allen Bell, passed away on March 21, 2014, at his home, peacefully. He was 55 years old.
Ken, as he was known, was born in Torrance, Calif., on Sept. 18, 1958, and was raised in Newhall, Calif., where he graduated from William S. Hart High School in 1976.
Ken moved to Sonora in 1983 where he met his wife of 29 years. He was an auto technician for 19 years.
Ken was a member of the Christian Heights Assembly of God Church where he was a long-time member of the worship team. He enjoyed motorcycles, and music was his passion.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie Bell, of Jamestown; daughters, Kelly Freligh, of Jamestown, and Devin Bell and her fiancé, Jeff Rainbolt, of Jamestown; sister, Janet Austin and her husband Ed, of Newhall; and five grandchildren.
Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Bell, in 2000; and his father, Harry Bell, in 2012.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Christian Heights Assembly of God Church at 13711 Joshua Way, Sonora, CA 95370.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Music Department of the Christian Heights Assembly of God Church in memory of Kenneth Bell.

Henry B. ‘Hank’ Cary
Oct. 21, 1922 — March 25, 2014
Henry B. “Hank” Cary, devoted husband and father, born Oct. 21, 1922, passed on to eternal life on March 25, 2014.
Hank is survived by Jeane, his wife of 39 years; his children, Margaret, of Nevada, Joe, of Connecticut, Tom, of Trinidad, Calif., Tina, of Gilroy, Calif., Matt, of Campbell, Calif., Liz, of Medford, Ore., Peter, of Auckland, New Zealand, Tony, of Medford, of Oregon, and Maureen, of Anchorage, Alaska. Hank’s legacy was not only his children but his 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He will be greeted in heaven by Adeline, his wife and mother of his children, and their daughters that have gone on before them, Regina and Diane, along with Jeane’s daughter, Shannon Rose.
After his 34-year career at IBM in San Jose, Hank and Jeane moved to Sonora, Calif. Over 22 years there, he helped spearhead the drive to build the Tuolumne County Senior Center, was active in the local AARP, served on the Advisory Board of the Tuolumne County General Hospital, prepared taxes for seniors, and represented five counties as Representative to the California Senior Legislature in Sacramento. 2007 saw a return to Campbell.
Family and friends celebrating his life on Monday at St. Lucy’s Church in Campbell. A Rosary service was held at 11 a.m., followed by a Mass at 11:30. A burial followed at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery.

RODGERS — A visitation for Lillian Rodgers, 91, of Tuolumne, who died Friday at Meadow View Manor in East Sonora, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Heuton Memorial Chapel, 400 S. Stewart St., Sonora. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Carters Cemetery in Tuolumne.
